Worst Video Game you've ever played, shit we wished we could forget

LOL at 8:10

“Here we go here we go, got one lined up got one lined up”

Oh yeah I thought of one, Barney’s Hide & Seek Game for SEGA Genesis.

I meant it is in closed spaces, not wide open spaces really, except for the swamp area. I know there are multiple shortcuts to take especially with that master key. Everything is all closed in though. It’s akin to FF13 in that area, where you only have 1 wide open area in the game, the rest is dungeon crawling.

Mag Max

Yeah, here’s the box art:

Awww… yeah! That shit looks tight! Killing cy-dragons in SPACE!

But… here’s a video of the actual game I chose to get at Sam’s when my mom said I could buy a game:

Yeah, it was hideous. I don’t know why I wanted that and I’m ashamed of myself for wanting it. I told my friend, as I was listing off all my games to him, that I had this game and he thought I said “Mad Max,” as in the movie.

I didn’t correct him.

The biggest problem with the game, besides the simple colors and bad repetitive music and sounds was that getting power-ups it he game actually made the game HARDER. You got to make a robot. AWESOME! But, that robot was giant and didn’t do anything cooler than what your tiny little ship could already do. Also, it was really big, so it was much harder to evade enemies.

Stupid, stupid game that was probably okay at best in the arcade, back in the days when you played only for skill and points.

Don’t chose a game by the cover. Case in point:

I remember a Fantasia game I had for Genesis that was pretty smelly. My brothers’ uncle gave us the Genesis with a batch of classics – Streets of Rage 1 and 2, Shinobi 1 and 3, GnG, Sonic 1-3, Altered Beast, Golden Axe 2, the original Mortal Kombat, Vectorman, Toejam and Earl, Earthworm Jim… – and this Fantasia game. I don’t remember it being very good. I had Quackshot! (ducktales game) and the Genesis Ghostbusters too, but they were only okay.

I also had Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker, which was kind of bad too but has the distinction of being really weird on the side.

Don’t remember anything bad I had on SNES though.

“State of the art High Resolution graphics” God do I love the MM1 box.

I just remembered a few more! Since these are games that I played that I didn’t like at all, I don’t mind listing them.

I’m going to be really honest here, so bare with me. I don’t like the Mortal Kombat series. I know I know, but I did give it a fair shot…more than I probably should have. Whenever an MK game was whipped out at a friend’s, I just played it as a formality. I didn’t like look of it. I’m not impressed by over the top gore…at all. I didn’t like the gameplay of the 2D ones…the 3D ones even less so. I never liked the characters…except maybe one and that’s Sub-Zero. Now that you read all of this, your probably wondering what I thought of this MK9 stuff that’s going around these days. Well…I don’t care. If I never liked any of the games for the above reasons, then why would I like the new one? Just saying.

And this is strange, I feel the exact same way to an extent about the Tomb Raider games. I never liked a single Tomb Raider game that I played for similar reasons above like not liking characters, setting, or gameplay and what have you. However, the reboot looks like it does away with the shit that I didn’t like. I’m keeping an eye on it because of this, I’m hoping that it turns out the way I expect it to.

Not trying to rip on popular series cause it’s cool or anything. I just have my reasons. And I’m aware there’s worse games out there, but here’s the big secret. (I never played those worse games)

Back to single games.

I love Sly Cooper, but I found Sly 3 to be the weakest. Not the worst I’ve ever played, but pretty weak.

Battle Fantasia…ugh. I might have to dedicated another post to it since this one is getting a bit long. If you want to know my reasons, feel free to ask.

Turtles in Time the remake. This might be the single worst remake I’ve ever played. Nothing about it had the charm of the original. The music was worse. Every turtle sounded the same. The attacks had no kick to them, like in the original. You could feel that you were slamming someone into the pavement. There’s more that I didn’t like about it, but again, this is getting long.

Kabuki Warriors. Finally, a game that I can call the worst with very little remorse. I played this with a friend cause we loved Bushido Blade 1 and 2. Good Lord…nothing about it was good. Nothing. I wanted the vomit the second I stopped playing. **Easily gets my title of the worst game I ever played. I’d rather play the other games I listed in this thread than play this again.

The reason I didn’t list it earlier was because I had the luxury of forgetting about it.**

worst system(console) ever was colecovision.
i made my mom pay 150 in them days, which is like what…300 nowadays?
anywho,
made her buy it after playing it at my cousin’s house(she had one)…literally the next day after my mom bought it for me, the company went bankrupt and ceased to exist.
they released only 2 games.
just 2.
not counting Donkey Kong which was the game the system came with.
just 2 measly games.
and you could never find those two games in stores…anywhere.
worst 150 bucks my mom ever spent on me.
i should pay her back that 150.

funny thing was that when the nintendo was first released…that very first release holiday, me and my mom was at bloomingdales with the same cousin that also had the coleco with mom, my aunt, and when i saw the nintendo i was like "oh cool! me wannie"
then i saw that mustached lil guido named mario…andb flashbacks of him jumping over donkey kong’s barrels came to mind and the hell and horror of a useless expensive system came to mnd and i was like, "Fuck no! hell no i am not making the same mistake twice! i’m so not even gonna consider wanting this new system called nintendo. i’m sure that the second after my parents buy it for me the nintendo company will go belly up in a day."
i said to myself…“i’ll just ask for a atari 7800 console…
that’s a sure bet.”

my mistake.

Nothing about Michael Jackson, Moonwalker came remotely close to bad.

Speaking of celebrity based games, anyone remember that Bruce Lee game that was an Xbox launch title? That was a fucking turd. How they can slap his name and likeness to that piece of shit is a disgrace

But Michael IS Bad.

hurr hurr

True, Moonwalker actually isn’t that bad. Not to make the list. I mostly brought it up because of how weird it is.

Elder Scrolls Morrowland played it for 1 min. after i created my character then took it back to gamestop. Thats the only game i can think of that i took back the same day i brought it.

Yea I’m not a fan of Dark/Demon’s souls either and I would say they feel really slow and clunky to me but i’m an action game player so something like that would be slow and clunky to me. I still have Demon’s Souls, might try playing it again someday, but I won’t say I was very enamored with it in any way shape or form.

With that said it’s WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY the fuck far away from being the worst game I’ve ever played, He’ll it doesn’t even make the list of games I thought where bad. That’s just straight trolling if you ask me.

Without a doubt the single worst game I have ever played is Criticom (PS1).

That being said Criticom for Evo 2012!!!

y’know, I have to ask. In the panthenon of terribad that we have disscused here, Has any system ever been as bad as the Jaguar? 64-bit? More like 64 bitches. What the hell? Someone tried to con me into buying one. If I ever see that fucker again, I will stuff him into one of those abominations and THEN shove him down the stairs.

-Starhammer-

I know some people here might have played this games, but it seems like their just copy pasted from avgn. Oh and play anything made by Titus, they fucking suck more then LJN.

The CD-i outperforms the Jaguar in awfulness in every way. The Jaguar was a shitty and overly complex console, but some of the games on there were pretty solid and it at least has some sort of a following like the Sega CD. Can someone name one good thing that came from the CD-i(besides the Mario/Zelda animated shorts)?

The super bike and motogp games. I heard Tourist Trophy was the best sport bike simulator game, but simulators in general are fucking boring as shit. EA really needs to get on a new Road Rash game.

I’m still salty at the amount of Revolution-X hate

Arcade version wasn’t terrible, but the console versions were trash.
