SF:TM:TG is actually pretty fun to pop in for a few laughs, especially the console versions (which are more like some kind of weird hybrid of ST and 2I), especially when you realize what kind of brokenness is available via EXed specials.
Here’s the major catch: if you EX at between 50% and 99%, it costs half your gauge, or something like that… if you have full meter, they’re completely free. Sit back and lob dual tigershots with Sagat all day long? Yes, please. Sliding SRKs? Sure, if you can get it off.
Of course, there’s also the absolute hilarity that is Sawada, as well. Abs of Steel through fireballs FTW.
The Art of Fighting games are all quite terrible. They have a lot of interesting concepts, all of them executed very poorly.

Was such a step backwards in terms of speed and I don’t like the voice changes.
^ yup, you got it right with FF1. very, very weak. Sequels were infinitely better.
Compared to HF and ST SSFII may seem weak, but as a stand alone title it’s still infinitely better than tech romancer or star gladiator I.
If we’re going to stick to 2d fighters, I’d say Ring of Destruction. As much as I love the game, for a 2D fighter by Capcom it pales in comparison to the SF, darkstalkers, Marvel, JoJo and crossovers series.
