Worst snk and/or capcom games?

DOA

Pretty fighter.

Anyhow.

Capcom: Capcom Fighting Evolution. Balanced game, yeah, but you’re better off playing rock paper scissors because the depth combined with the mediocrity of the combo system makes this an easy decision.

SNK: Art of Fighting 2: Hard AI for a very dumb played game.

Though in my opinion: Double Dragon, KOF 97-2k1 Are not bad games.

SNK : Everything that isn’t KOF 98 or KOF 2002.

Capcom: CFE, Street Fighter Zero 1, Star Gladiator series.

umm…

KoF 2003 PS2 version
KoF XI
KoF XII
Garou
SamSho Tenka
SamSho VSP
NGBC
Last Blade 2

… ALL very good games.

I think Ferdinandz has met his match!

Garou kof 02 and sf2t are probably the best fighting games

I’ll take out Garou and throw in Soul Calibur 4, and you’ve got the only fighting games I still play… :-/

MvC2 is lame now… 3S is too difficult for me… and #R has nobody else that plsy… so why bother?

How so?

Why not move on to Accent Core?

how was CFE balanced, please let me know.

anybody that said Karnov’s Revenge was bad can straight up eat the dick
see me on GGPO, bitches

personal preference

no ps2.

Karnov’s Revenge is among the best 5 Neo Geo fighters ever.

I’m no expert, but in CFE every character was viable. If you look at the tournament footage and character selection when the game was at SBO, you can see that the highest level of play saw many different characters- according to the tier list Hydron and 'Gief are both low tier, but they still got picked consistently, as were the likes of Chun.

Even the worst two characters, Sakura and Felicia aren’t dreadful. The match ups aren’t lop sided like in ST as well, so the match up chart on the wiki is a bit misleading. Even if Felicia only wins 2 match ups and loses 17, it’s more like a bunch of 6-4 wins and losses and 17 8-2s.

There are some horrid matches like Gief vs Jedah, though.

The game about the movie about the game.

Ahh I see.

But Accent Core is also available for the Wii (that’s the version I have).

But you probably don’t have a Wii I assume.

That deems a poor assumption. There are other fighting games. For instance, the other KoFs. 96 was visually the upgrade needed to take on the development of all the other KoFs.

And what’s this about games, outside of the realms of Capcom/SNK, being discussed here as poor games? I couldn’t stand New Generation of Fighters after the other III games came to past. It felt unfinished and the parrying probably gave people seizures.

As for that question there: SF: The Movie was made by Acclaim/Midway and published by Capcom. IMO Capcom should have procured this game themselves. Or probably Arika since they were going for the same type of concept: Another spawn of SF 2. The game didn’t take up the original SF style and brought in that Mortal Kombat crap to the artwork. The only good thing about SF:M was the movie clips, which were also hilarious. In short, Acclaim should not have bothered to take the mantle when it came to making a game, based on a movie, that is based on a game.

I wouldn’t rag on the first entries of some fighting series too much(FF, SF). They had to start somewhere.

Get a psp.

of course, everyone loves to hate on SVC Chaos, but I actually really like that game. Unbalanced? yes, probably - I’ve never played it at a high level and I’ve never seen it played at a high level. It’s such a throwback to old school games in terms of how it feels, I can see how it was seen as a step backward - but it actually reminds me of why I used to love SFII:WW and old SNK fighters that we ate up with a spoon and yet seem horribly dated by today’s standards. I’m actually quite happy playing it. I love the atmosphere of the game, and I also love how it actually feels a bit less cut-and-paste than the other Capcom vs SNK games - there’s at least some consistency to how the sprites are drawn and move, even if a lot of the Capcom ones are just retouched with an SNK paint job.

this thread isn’t about defending these games though, gotta pick a bad one. I’m going to choose Fatal Fury 1. I have such fond arcade memories of this, and they were actually shattered forever when I got the first PS2 FF collection…I spent all of my time with that disc playing Fatal Fury Special…I couldn’t tolerate FF1 for more than 5 minutes.

No it wasn’t, it was some pinball manufacturer.

SF - The Movie - The Game was manufactured by Strata Technologies (I think?), and was distributed on consoles by Acclaim.

Yeah, too bad it looks AND feels shitty, too.

Try again.
