Funny thing is i’m not the wrose of the group when it comes to being a douche… I think Brian takes the cake on that… i just add fuel as mr ryan mention…
as for you having taking those beatings ryan… for the most you never asked how/why etc to get better for a long time… so if you don’t ask i don’t tell…
anyways i agree with that other comment the best of Magnetos usually beats the best of Cables however this guy here in the midwest plans on changing that…
I hate msp with such a passion… I WILL BORROW SOME WORDS FROM DAVE CHAPPELLE… YES I HOPE THEY DIE AND BURN IN HELL!!
Combofiend eh? I would play that team if my IM didn’t suck so bad. Having three characters that can kill you off ONE hit, blocked or not is a viable team on any level. As for Storm running away, she can get her ass air to grounded and killed, then her two teamates can get guard broken and raped.
Or, she can successfully run down the clock. It can go either way. This is why I’m still playing this game after all these years.
Against someone that has a better Sent or Cable than the opponent’s Magnus, I mean start Storm first.
Combofiend ground support is too strong, so either you have a Magnus with insane tri/box jumps that punishes Combofiend for not having a fast anti air or you take the battle to where team Combofiend is at its weakest, the air.
I still not used to sticks though so at CTF I just play Matrix, Santrax, or Scrub (start Sent) against Combofiends. Combofiend has a tough time trying to get at a high flying Sent backed by Commando.
LOL… Brian plays the one team that i hate to play. If he plays any other team its Reset city and combo vids all day long. But you’re right… he was the leader in talking crazy. Well until Ray got started. Come to think of it… both of them were more douche-y than you were Joe. Ray by far.
As far as getting better… you both were my enemies for the longest time. Even getting one win was a victory for me. So it kind of stayed that way. Which i think helped and hurt. Any advice you have is welcomed. Tho with Cable i like the hunt. Somehow Joe builds a protective barrier around Cable like the Byakugen or something. And it only has one point of weakness at any given time. So i kind of like that i have to formulate a strategy. But general weaknesses that i can fix immediately with a word i welcome all day.
man i’m itchin… when we gonna play more Marvel btw?
spit at the bitch and stay low what else?
Starting sentinel on combofiend is ideal vs runaway storm. You can start chip strings from across the screen with all the meter you build while she runs. Get 5 meters and when you get any hit you can instant dhc her or any character to death.
Starting mag means you should have a strong sense of zoning and screen control with the drones. Drones can stall long enough for you to get in and make a mess on the screen to go crazy on the bitch.
With fiend you dont necesarilly have to always be in the storms face to get the hit even though its fun. Build meter and then start the chase with your instant dhc in hand.
btw the air is its weakest point but that doesnt mean its not rediculous in the air. If you really have a problem in the air step up your IM and sentinel play. It dont make a difference for mag, cause hes the bullshit artist.
you’ve been mia so i dunno… You were supposed to come over sat. But i guess something came up so… I haven’t heard anything as of late… John is pushing for us to throw some money matches on us… Lol… So who knows… This thread has entertained quite a few people… Lol
as for advice… Hmmm…i’d say work on your open starters for one… For instance there are times you want to try and go high… Which is cool however the problem is you usually just do a boomerang and end up chasing bh or cable for quite awhile…
It seems that it usually goes in favor of someone if they get away from mags at the beginning or more so they have more of a chance… After that i’d say if you know or have a feeling you’re about to mess up the rom end it with a shock wave or something instead of droppin me or anyone for that matter…
Every hit you get you want to do the max damage as possible… Lol… I suck with mags i usually just go for 5 fierce and possible reset… Correct me if i’m wrong but that’s the main object of the game to do as much damage as possible with as little effort as possible…
Lol… Least that’s how i play… I’m lazy so less effort the better… Kinda why i enjoy bh cable etc… If i’m wrong feel free to let me know cause i’m also learning as well… While mr. Ryan wants to better his msp i want to destroy all msp…
Why doesn’t it make a difference for Mag? If Storm is too high to ROM what can Magneto do? Do you mean fk dhc IM/Sent or try to catch her landing with drones cross up or around reset or something?
I still need rp for Sent by the way for IM because trying to get used to stick is like playing with one hand behind my back
yeah for some reason in the beginning i want to nj or sj and addf lk but it just doesn’t happen. but when it does a part of me laughs with glee. And i agree about the BH business. quick and guaranteed damage is the way to go. I couldn’t get in contact with you Saturday. And Ray told me he wasn’t rollin thru. PM me your number cuz i sure don’t get texts on my phone. not the normal way that is.
EDIT: Ok beef over… More msp matchup goodness. Oh and Joe it should be a compliment to you that this thread was inspired by you. (no homo) or if you get down like that (yes homo) i just don’t get down like that myself(not that there’s anything wrong with that)
What to do in a MSP vs MSP match?? wich attacks may I use, and not to use… I have a lot of problems in this match… and I think this is the Worst MSP match… I try to attack from the air, but a lot of times I get hit by Hyper Grav… How to avoid this?
well… i’m not the expert here as i started this thread. but… from my MSP mirror match exp i know that MSP players are cheap bastards that whore themselves out to anything that works. So to stop the threat of getting HG’d then you had better be able to mash out. if they are just HG’ing you then mash out of that. and if you get HG’d tempested then be able to escape that as well. As far coming from the air i would only do that never as Psy will scoop you up faster than um… well… as fast as she does. Its a careful game of who can get the other to make a mistake or commit to something foolish or get a snapback. And it depends on the level of the person playing MSP. Beats juggled me around for 20 seconds in a vortex that wouldn’t stop. Soo handled him with play that was outstanding. Yipes… well you get the idea. I’m sure others will add but that is my 2 cents on it.
I think if you have mindset like this when playing a MSP Mirror you are bound to lose. When you say, whore themselves out to anything that works," isnt that just trying to find openings? MSP is all about speed. You keep the pressure not to be caught be any 50%+ dmg combos or anything like that.
Now as for the playing the mirror, I think baiting is the best trick. Getting Psy out with a snap is the priority. That or just the same old Storm bait and rain… But I am just trying to try my ish into the mix. And I personally wouldnt call MSP players are “cheap bastards” :wonder:
i myself am an msp player. so i guess you just didn’t get the joke. And talk to some people who don’t like MSP ans you’ll see that they agree. but whatever. your english must not be that good so you clearly didn’t read the part where i talk about snapbacks and baiting.
I wouldn’t call msp players cheap just the team but hell every good fighting game has it’s b.s so… Whatev… My moto is they can get shot… You can get chipped whatev… I don’t care… As long as i win… May not be pretty flashy but whatev gets the job done… I think that should apply to any team though…
Nunez showed up out of no where so we played a bunch of sets against him at GW. All I keep hearing is how much it sucks at Xscape, so I dunno if I should waste my time.
