My problem with the sentry is that you take away his whining and he and Nova are the same damn character.

LOL! Seriously, Sentry is like an American Idol winner, he’s thrust straight into the spotlight without paying any dues and jumping ahead of a lot of other established Marvel characters.
Or to use another analogy, he’s like a new untalented Wwe wrestler that the other more talented wrestlers have to job to in order to push him.

sentry is lame. golden guardian of good? more like marvel’s golden shower. this reminds me of when i used to watch wrestling. all the less talented guys getting pushes while the guys who deserve it are thrown to the side.
Every time I look at Sentry I think DAMN. We could of had an Avengers squad with Captain America, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Wolverine and Thor - SENTRY WHO? - now that’s the dream team right there. Toss in Psylocke and Spiral turned hero and I’m good but now I’m asking for too much. Seriously, I was waiting for Thor to come back and take his place…
Anyway, the Cap/Stark/Spidey/Wolvie/Thor merger can’t happen now with Cap dead and Spidey and Wolvie hating on Iron Man so it’s impossible… for now anyway until Steve Rogers comes back from the grave and Iron Man is forgiven…

WWH is one of the only uber story arc’s I can stand, and seeing Wolverine get the crap kicked out of him…well…that was just dandy.
Sentry I like, he’s a very intriguing character that isn’t getting a lot of use, right now he’s nothing but a glorified thug for Tony Stark.
Stark: “Hey Sentry get in here and wipe my ass!”
Sentry: “But…but if I use any part of my body, The Void might come out!”
Stark: “I just let out a big Void in here, if you don’t clean it he might jump up and eat me.”
Sentry: “…Okay.”
The only notable thing he’s done besides his limited series was the amazing Carnage ownage Sano mentioned, since I have an extreme dislike for early 90’s characters it was a gift.
I really don’t want Thor’s new comic to be contaminated by the WWH event, but since it probably will be I would LOVE to see that fight. If there is anyone (Besides Sentry) That can take the Hulk, it’s Thor.
I checked Wiki recently, and even though it’s not the most accurate site…scratch that, is mostly never accurate, someone listed “War Hulk” as another personality come forth. Give me a damn break, that’s just dumb and would be a horrible excuse on Marvel’s part. I like the idea that Savage Hulk sorta “Evolved” into this being through pain, war, and heartbreak.
I’m pretty sure when that New Avengers arc introducing/re-introducing the Sentry came out, I promptly skipped it(except for Spider-Woman’s ownage on Rhino IIRC). He’s just completely uninteresting to me.
And yeah, I like the Carnage raping as well as the next guy, but the only other time I ever paid attention to Sentry he got owned by Tony Slut/Ultron. So you can see how much I care about him now.
I’m looking forward to Hulk stomping a hole in his chest. I love WWH.
the reason for all the sentry hate is simply because his character is crap. honestly i can’t think of a single thing i like about him, which i can usually do with every other character i dislike.
Hell no. Thor over hulk all day. Thor is another walking overpowered plot hole that should never lose. People complain about Superman, but Thor is just as broken, you just don’t see it anymore.
Speaking of, when is Thor gonna kick Sentry’s ass? I thought that fight would go down in Civil War but he and ‘Clor’ were on the same side and Don Blake was running around the country with Mjolnir for no damn reason at all during CW… Guess I have to write to JMS now so this fight can happen in Thor’s new book or something…
If it’s dumb-ass brawler Thor (which I hate) it 'll be a fair fight. If it’s Odin Force Thor or any other version Sentry loses hard. Thor can steal and redirects energy, even from people. If Thor doesn’t play it dumb, Sentry gets Mjolnir to the face backed by the power of 1,000,000 exploding suns.

And that pisses me off. I hate it when characters never exercise their full potential. Mjolnir is a broken weapon, but all thor ever does is hit people with it anymore. There was a fight between him and Juggernaut and Thor cut off Juggernaut’s access to his cytorak power IIRC.
Man oh man oh man. I am so late on this. I want to get the books so bad but you know what im going to get the prelude to planet hulk, the planet without a hulk (she-hulk) and the planet hulk TPBs so I know what the hell is going on. I have the prelude to WWH but I would rather wait until i started reading ones above.
I think he has to kick Tony Stark’s ass first for cloning him in the first damn place. Then Sentry should be next.
Prior to that New Avengers plot, I had no idea who the Sentry really was. All I see is a basket case with too much damn power. Power of a Billion Suns?! WTF type of shit is that? But yet he’s a basket case? Anyway…things will get interesting with Sentry i think, when you guys pick up Mighty Avengers this week:looney:
Oh, and WWH#2 was GREAT SHIT. Hulk and his Warbound>Avengers and Fanstatic Four for the whole damn issue lol
I’m curious to see what Thor actually does when he returns, that’s one of my top comic grab’s right now, love the guy. Would he remember anything? I would think he’s a blank slate, and I really hope he doesn’t go with Stark…someone needs to kill him, btw.
Sentry in a nutshell is a hero who was forgotten, he has some split personality issues and has a dark side called “The Void” it was Void who erased Sentry from his own mind and everyone else’s. So the guy who is Sentry, forgot his name, keeps having dreams about being a hero and crap, until he remembers and tries to find the Void and put the pieces together. The limited series was interesting in that comics were made to look like the time period they were in, be it 60’s, 70’s and so forth.
Marvel has since messed him up, making him into another Superman clone (Looking at you Hyperion) with a bad brain, they really did ruin him and it’s sad. Though Marvel really didn’t need anymore heavy hitters anyways.
