I’m happy with the progress we’re making already, thus far; remember, at Evo, we were all guys who just “popped the disc into the PS2”, so to speak. The FAQ should be a big help once we finish it!
New playlist, Keits vs. krost Part 1, and uploading their next set as we speak. Lots of matchups we haven’t seen yet, and it’s interesting to watch a newer player quickly figure things out.
btw, I forgot that you can’t play online while uploading stuff. Extra lame…I’ll have to hold off on the vids after today, just so I can step up my own game!
A-fucking men Josh…now all of us esp the “EVO Three” are steadily growing at a rapid rate…you cant just study my old Jack shit and except to beat me now!!!
FINALLY finished everything I wanted to for today…54 new matches, with a lot of entirely new matchups. Keits finally starts using the mid-air command grab with Fuuma, and you get to see why Erick has a hard time against just about anyone with a strong air game…including Jack!
Trust me I’m on it this weekend. NO GRAD SCHOOL…I’m done with Grad School for two full weeks so trust me I’m hitting WHP hard…like a Hot Mexican Stripper hard…
Thanks for the games Josh, sorry if I wasn’t too much of a challenge. I still don’t have the hang of Janne’s supers yet, and it takes a bit for me to adjust to a new match up.
Chibi, sorry about the connection being crappy. If you’ll notice, it was DAT DELAY 2…this might be like with Keits, where we need to get delay 3 for a good framerate.
With Janne, you gotta play kind of a hit-and-run game. Basically try to never stand still, and get the opponent into range for your decent pokes. She’s also great at tick throws, with her quick recovery and walking speed.
You need more s.HK for anti-air, it has autoguard! Justice Sword can always be air-blocked, so there’s more risk to it.
Close HP is actually a good reversal at times since it also autoguards. It will beat things like Mudman’s corner divekick lockdown.
Projectile isn’t worth using against almost anyone besides Muscle Power. EX version is decent, but her hero supers are better. I do the phoenix with f,d/b,d,d/f,f,u/f+HP…it has nice chip damage and gives her frame advantage when blocked, and Hero version is invincible. I never used the arrow, but apparently that’s also great guaranteed chip in the corner, and you can link stuff if it hits.
From a crossup, it’s possible to combo low MP, s.MP xx flash sword, but I forget exactly how hard it is to charge that.
That’s about all I’ve got for now, hope this will help you out some!
