I’m interested in the evil football guy, so far he is the only dude appealling to me. I could only figure out his charge back forward…charge during my short time of playing it.

Does he rank high in tiers? I was watching some videos on here and he looks solid, only trouble he seemed to get in involved Kidd. You did say pretty much everyone is useable though, so I shouldn’t complain =D. I’ll try it out at FRXI if I got some time.
Josh and I argue weather J.Max is A or B tier. I think he is A Tier, but the game is very matchup specific, so a lower tier character may counter him very badly. Everyone is tournament viable, it just appears that you will have a slightly harder time if you choose to play Brocken, Shura, or Janne, and an easier time if you choose Hanzou, Kidd, or Ryofu. Everyone can win, though… even the C tier.

There are alot of dumb characters in this game.
And I mean dumb. Like, abuse the fuck out of two moves dumb.
Yeah, I’m looking at you Jack. What a cheap fuck. Carn too. And Captain Kidd.

Abusing the fuck out of two moves is a good way to lose to me or josh. You are only loosing to that because you are new to the game, Chibi.
Any Jack doing just two moves is failing SO hard. Same with Carne.

But I digress, playing Tenpound yesterday for 50 something odd matches most definitely helped.
Thats why this game is balanced and fun though, chibi. Every character is soaked in ‘stupid bs’ and, my like super turbo, they can all compete as a result. The only characters, as we have discussed, that really lack the BS they need to keep up (even though they are solid) are Janne Shura and Brocken… and im on the fence about Shura and Brocken.
Ill probably be down for some games tonight. if any one wants.
A decent way of describing this game is “Super Turbo with the design philosophy of Accent Core”. Most of the cast has obvious dumb shit, but that alone isn’t enough to make you high level - you need to learn the ins and outs to beat people like us who actually play regularly, even with a character like Ryofu.
So yes, if you don’t like AC, there’s a decent chance this game won’t appeal to you either. But if you like it enough to stick with it, you’ll learn how to beat the entry-level BS.

Nah see AC was actually DESIGNED to be dumb shit when much of it was previously taken out or ‘balanced’ on account of it. I don’t mind dumb shit in this game at this point because it’s a learning process, and well it was there from the start so that’s just how it is. I won’t lie when I say some of these characters push my threshold of tolerance for bullshit, but that’s ok.
