Woo Hoo Naomi & Atomiswave Emulation in Progress!

so the only reason people want naomi emulated is so they can play it on GGPO, 2df, etc…? Because can’t you play CvS2, GGXX, etc… on Demul and other DC emus already? Am I missing something here?

Well, you can’t emulate GGXX:AC. Well, you can when a PS2 emulator, but most people can’t run those. But yeah, netplay. Also newer gameslike MB:AA and the new Blitzkampf. :3

Any decent emulator with solid netplay would be dope. I wonder when available would the marvel 2 characters be colorable like the DC version :woot:

Its definitely possible, but it wont happen immediately; the character data is in the giant ROM, not in easy to find player .dat files. But I bet if we search for the palette hex strings in the rom, we’ll find them pretty quickly.

someone needs to get around to dumping the mvc2 rom. is powerstone 1/2, or initial d dumped yet? there’s so many good games for naomi that i could see on GGPO.

naomi on GGPO is almost a reality. if mame supports naomi soon, chances are FBA will follow suit just like with CPS3.

Naomi on GGPO is a reality, Ponder said so himself when I asked him at Evo. Once the emulation for the certain game is 100% all he needs is the source to go ahead and add it in to make it playable. I asked him about MvC2, CvS2, and AC. He said no problem. Hopefully we get AA later on when it comes out.

P.S.: I’m getting an error now when I try and open up a rom saying “cannot open naomi.zip” but I have naomi.zip. Am I supposed to put it in a specific location?

Didn’t you read the post he quoted? AC was never released for the DC so DC emulators don’t suffice if you want to play it

Well, none of the GGXXs were released on DC either and they seem to work better than CvS2. Also, Lupin the 3rd works as well (according to pics from the journal) and that was never released on DC either. Link us to this quote, I think you misread it.

One error I’m getting is when I load a game (#r) then try and reset it or load it again I get Error 02.

Also, I turn the DynaRec ON to increase FPS and it works perfectly until I get to the fighting sequence. This is where it slows down to around 40 - 50 FPS. Anyone know how to help increase the speed in this part? Also, does anyone know how to full screen the emu?

go to CONFIG" VIDEO" and change resolution plus check the full screen box. Wow it only appears on one of my pcs and not the other.

whats your configuration ?? mame has always been kinda shit in general but I am sure FBA can make naomi games run 60fps/100% on a decent computer.

On that PC Im running a low end quad core with 4 gig ram(only 3 available in xp pro) and onboard video
