Just like any other thread on SRK that involves a horrific accident resulting in a child’s mutilation from an already mutilating process performed on them against their knowledge and will, it degrades into dudes talking about their own dicks.

You suggested that because circumcision can prevent those conditions it therefore can’t be judged evil or wrong.
I demonstrated that just because circumcision prevents those conditions it is no justification for doing it because those conditions can be treated at any age. Your argument that there are medical benefits to routine infant circumcision because it prevents you developing phimosis etc is absurd. I used an absurd example with verrucas and feet to highlight that fact. I really shouldn’t have to be explaining this… We can use a different example if you like - it’s akin to removing fingernails to prevent fungal infections. We can live without fingernails can’t we? Why not just lop em off before they potentially get infected… I was intentionally being absurd to highlight the absurdity of your own post and it’s unfortunate, though very telling, that you can’t seem to understand this.

If you even bother to read, you’ll find that non-surgical (a.k.a. practically free) methods are preferred over surgical ones. It even functions the same way, if that’s what you’re after.

You’re actually retarded. You failed to understand what I wrote - I was saying restoration is time consuming and painful and can be expensive. Not circumcision. There are horror stories about stretching techniques, people wasting money on remedies that don’t work etc.
Anyway you’re not making any argument for how it’s morally right to circumcise children against their will you’re just writing nonsense so I’m done.
The bogus medical reasons for circumcision mostly revolve around the fact that it’s easier to clean. For instance decreased risk of urinary tract infection, which isn’t that high for men (most men that do get one are due to prostrate problems), is solved by taking a pill. You solve cleanliness problems by telling your kids to clean themselves.
An especially bogus one is the the decreased risk of HIV. Circumcision as a preventative measure for HIV does make sense in some cases, such as in South Africa. South Africa has an AIDS epidemic, including poor healthcare, poor education, and a top to bottom rape problem. Decreasing the risk of HIV spread without the consent of children makes sense there because you are actually saving lives. The true solution, of course, is to solve the three original problems, not continue circumcision indefinitely. If you are posting from a country such as the US of A then have absolutely no business having unprotected sex with someone diagnosed with AIDS, you already know it’s wrong and what you should be doing. Here circumcision is more likely to cause problems for people than solve them.
Again, anyone who defends circumcision in the US is just defensive about his altered dick.
