on my one and only serious note for this, after just checking for any updates on the story. this is what we know
- she was on medication, and that had recently been changed. medication for what, i dont know
- she held two men hostage at first, they called for help, police came, they didnt press charges. police left. note, the men dropping the charges doesnt mean she still couldnt have been prosecuted.
- that wasnt enough for her, since she was intent on being crazy that day, she called the hospital and said police beat her up. after arriving at the hospital, she became combative with the staff, and the police took her to jail
- she was released from jail, went home, and then held her roommate hostage. the police were called again, and had to force their way in this time to arrest her. she was arressted then for disorderly conduct, holding a person hostage, and one other thing.
- the woman took a plea deal with the judge for the 3 charges of disorderly conduct, and was put on 9 month probation where she had to also seek counseling and treatment, to be evaluated november 24 of 2014.
so basically she was a crazy bitch off or on her meds who got lucky the state didnt drop a hammer down on her.
if this were a man, it would have been handled differently, and im sure the state would have still prosecuted the offender with more then just disorderly conduct, regardless if the girls decided to drop the charges, because they will always see women as weak, easily manipulated victims. the police also would not have handled it so nicely the first time. if that were a grunge looking man holding two other women hostage, and they were screaming out the window for help, police would have came guns ready to fuck some shit up, and would have face planted that guy into the cement, not giving him a chance to call the hospital and say police abused him. lord knows if that was a guy and he got away with holding two women hostage for sex the first time, got away with attacking people in the hospital, that third time of holding another woman hostage would have been a hella deal breaker for him. officers would have jacked his shit up, and the state would not have dropped those false imprisonment charges unless it was VERY VERY VERY clear that this was just a temporary episode induced by medication or lack thereof, and not something he may do again.
if we’re going to sit here and pretend human beings, let alone officers, judges, and attorneys, dont have a bias against men in cases like these, then we are severely lying to ourselves. he would have had to have been the luckiest man on earth to have all that symapthy tossed at him after all that fuckery, even with a possible excuse that his medication was making him act up.
also, there is no where noted or implied this lady was being nothing more then a crazy bitch. there are people with mental health issues, and people who just dont give a fuck and are choosing to act the fuck up. i think @matriarch has said some interesting points, but through my view of life from my end, more people are just crazy and stupid attention whores, then geniuinely mentally unstable. not saying im right, but thats my own bias. id like to know more about her history, but its such a small case, it wont get much shine. im not going to just assume because she is on medication, poor her, she must be all fucked up in the head, because i dont know what kind of medication she was on. she may have just been high on crack that day.
ultimately, imo, she shouldnt have been able to just go home and figure things out for herself. she should have been forced into psychiatric treatment for a few months at the very least, not just, okay probation, and you have to undergo counseling and or other treatment, see you in 9 months. wtf. clearly she just showed you she is a danger not only to herself, but to others, and you just let her bounce around free to do whatever she wants again. lol.
From my experience, mental illness male can get away with just same amount of bullshit that happened in this article. Where they would actually attack a police officer & then do some crazy shit in the hospital then 2 or 3 days later will be back to his home/group home/community protective program. There are just not enough resources as there are tons of mentally ill people taking up the prison(over 60%) & the Psych Treatments are usually all full. This is growing epidemic that has been happening for a long time now but not many people really want to address unless they go psycho & start shooting up kids or other people in public.
The police knows this, the court system knows this, & the medical people know this…The public on the other hand are pretty clueless about it.

yeah, wisconsin like im sure most states, all have fairly inadequate mental health programs and budget, so in a case like this of a white female going bonkers and no one getting hurt, the 3 males involved not wanting to press charges, and the state not caring to press some of the more harsher charges too, theyre gonna let her go before they hold her in a psych treatment center or put her in jail. in some states their jails and prisons are overflowing due to their own personal fault (thats your laws and your cops being pressured that makes that happen you dumb fucks), so they wanna try to minimize that intake to harsher criminals, or at least the black ones, and those in for drug charges.
lets not forget the recent case of the mentally ill man in california getting beaten to death, and the cops walked off free. there may be more imprisoned females diagnosed with varying mental health conditions, but id be shocked to see statistics that show men with legit mental health conditions equally get away with as much as women do when put in the same circumstances. there is a reason men catch beatdowns from cops even when not resisting arrest more then women do who are, and that bias doesnt just stop there. i wouldnt be shocked if those prison mental health statistics are all just kinda chopped anyways in order to keep certain federal funding coming in, or whatever.
you’ve already agreed/admitted that men generally receive harsher sentences than women. her sentence was a suspended, what would be harsher than that? a sentence that’s not suspended which is what a man would have gotten.
you’re claiming that she’s probably mentally ill, even though there’s no particular evidence that she is. reading this for the first time, my immediate thought was that she was likely high or drunk because ugly intoxicated women frequently aggressively demand sex from uninterested men, but being intoxicated isn’t mental illness.

So she is confirmed a crazy person who went off her meds. The men that was held against their will says she’s a good person & they just didn’t want to force there way out. Wanting the police to handle.
When I don’t take my med’s, I tap my foot a lot and don’t pay as much attention to things. I don’t kidnap people and barricade them in my house REPEATEDLY and demand sex. Why is she even allowed in public again? Why do we let fucked up people walk amongst us then question why the go on killing sprees?
she probably suffers from something much more severe than adhd? locking up people preemptively because of their mental health issues is a complicated ethical discussion.

You also dont want to encounter someone who is manic episode, you dont know what they are capable of doing. That is the whole point of them being mentally unstable, you wont be able to reason with them. Especially if you’re the reason why they are acting that way now. Its safer to just let the police handle it & if something does go down, they are trained to deal with these certain situations.
