Also better hope that a particular old man isn’t involved with your bombing attempt. Lest you’ll be on the receiving end of a Mishima ending

The only issue here is a perceived lack of consistency on SRK’s part. The guy gets into straight up fisticuffs with someone and doesn’t get fired. He gets into a Facebook spat with someone and gets canned. In any case, if he was known for swinging a stick at Chris G’s head, they were probably just waiting for an reason to rid themselves of a liability.
I dunno why the guy hunted her down on the internet in the first place and sent this stuff.
If it really wasn’t a big deal, why did he feel the need to reassure himself that she isn’t mad at him?
I would’ve played video games and went to sleep, unless I somehow fucked up really bad.
This could have been the last straw in a long chain of events. Though, I have to agree that if it isn’t, this is a dubious reason to fire someone.
I can see why she called him a creep though but he was trying to be friendly, it just failed miserably.
This is all because it was a chick who complained. If Guy McDude whined about some benign BS that happens all the time(“Tekken sucks!” faint) you wouldn’t even pay attention. Obvious lesson from this is that we need more females in the community to eventually make every FGC event like a Sunday bake sale for the sake of not changing a girl’s emotional state from “whatever” to “slightly perturbed”.
This is Donglegate all over again.
This is why I don’t joke with people I don’t know offline…they can take it the wrong way and fuck up your life.
Dude even went and still insulted the girl further…and he’s telling the community to grow up?
Seriously?
Stop defending the chick, there is ZERO reason to contact a person’s place of work and complain about them because of there opinion, ZERO… NONE, NADA. Unless you are just trying to get them fired, or there is more to that part of the story we don’t know about.
That’s like me getting into a argument with a dude I meet at work, then getting out of work and off the clock fighting or arguing with them more and coming back the next day and them complaining to my boss and my boss firing me.
Really?
The best part if it was a dude complaining he would have more than likely got told to “man up”
A female tho… sigh
Did he get fired for his opinion? Or was it because he searched her out and sent her messages that involved another joke and just flat out insulting her?
Not sure how this Wolverine Master is at events or whatever, but he should have just left it at the first joke and forgot about her.
Him going the extra mile to tell more super hilarious Tekken jokes to some girl who obviously didn’t find the first one funny in the first place was just dumb on his part, and it ended up costing him his job.
I’m sure if you represented your workplace, they’d probably take problem with you harassing some random guy because they didn’t find your joke funny and continuing to make bad jokes on their facebook after you’d already proven you were a problem due to anger management issues.
Umm, that is an absolutely plausible scenario.
If it was a guy, he probably wouldn’t have approached this person in the first place, much less been creeping them on facebook.
I like how some people keep thinking that it was because the damn tekken joke and not because he keep searching her to continue with his dumbassery, he even searched her facebook and continued with his attitude with some one that obviously didn’t want anything with him. Like i or not, it can be seen as he was stalking her or some shit like that.
Do i think that he deserved to be fire for it? Not really, unless there is more into the history which is very probable specially with his past actions, but i can totally see how his behavior could be mistaken easily.

Lol wut, you can actually got fired for that kind of behavior, specially if you are known for having anger issues.
Just my two cents, I think guys take for granted what it’s like to be comfortable in their surroundings, especially regarding fighting game stuff. If I was surrounded by strangers, and someone I didn’t know at all got in my face and said “Fuck Tekken” I’d think he was an asshole. I wouldn’t be offended someone had different tastes in games than me.
If he continued messaging me, I’d think he was picking on me for being different. If I found out he was in a position where he was supposed to be representing that community, I don’t know if I personally would contact his superiors, but I don’t think it’d be out of line for someone to do so.
Regardless, I think firing him for a single offense was a bit of an overreaction, which makes me think it was just a final complaint on a long list of things he’d done previously to make them unhappy with him.
well at least he didn’t send banana dick pics.
You people seem to not understand he has already attempted to assault a player at a tournament. He was on thin ice and then he harassed a female like a conceded douchebag about how Tekken (#1 selling fighting game series suck it Street Fighter) sucks.
females are not the same as males and the standards for your behavior towards both are different
just wanted to clear that up so that we don’t need another 20 posts of “well if he had stalked a guy on facebook it wouldn’t be creep behavior”
If he kept awkwardly trying to approach a man he didn’t know both in real life and on the internet in this manner, it would still come across as creepy and desperate. Just also gay.
Historically, this kind of thread is the kind of thread that just doesn’t really seem to be productive or useful. Closing.
