Feb. 10th is going to be a pretty intense tourney.
I think the open house should be good fun. Hopefully we’ll get a good turnout. I’m gonna have to kick ass in atleast one of the tournaments. We should have some ds tournaments going. Maybe tetris or mario kart or something. Basically any game on ds that I can kick jum_kum’s ass in. Which is everything

I used to know Sue. Havn’t heard from him in a long time. I should try making some contact with the guy sometime. He was a decent player back in the day and can probably beat me in most games. As for this Shane fellow I have no idea who they are.

I used to work with Blue. I never really got much of a chance to play with him but he told me he was pretty good. Its just to bad the guy seems to have disappeared. I can’t get in contact with him for some reason which is to bad cause he’s one of the guys I wanted to find to get our scene going. I don’t think there is much of an xvsf scene down here. For the most part on the gatherings we play t5, ST, 3s and dabble in a few other games like vf, kof and others.
Now that you mention is actually I’ve heard of this Shane fellow actually those 3 guys you mentioned used to live like a block away from me I believe and I never play them much. I’m gonna try to get in contact with them somehow but we’ll see how that goes.
I’d love to head down to Edmonton and in fact might have to move there in a year or two. Till then thers a good chance some of us will be going to T8 so we could meet up there provided we all go.

XvsSF kinda died off with the Winnipeg arcades in 2001 I think. That’s around the time you started seeing Arcades stop buying new games and selling off everything that could make them money. After that they just started shutting down one after the other.

Yup we have a few mvc2 cabinets around and there was one at the uofm for a while. It never did manage to get all the characters unlocked. Then they decided to remove that for mvc1. I believe we have an xvssf cabinet at the university still. From what I can tell though no one plays it.
