I’m not looking for PS2, I’m trying to get Wii stuff to work on other consoles.
Like, the connector that things such as the Classic Controller, TvC fight stick, etc., to work on a 360 or PS3.
Because the ITC - the people hosting that - are the only people with the connections to put that together at the college, and they are all incompetent (Janko can back me up here). Their Bad Ops event will be scrubfailtastic just like every other “tourney” they’ve put together in the last 2 years.
Well that sucks. 
There’s no way to get in their good books and possibly pitch something like this in to them? Even if it’s going to be scrub-infested, it’s at least something, know what I mean?
I can’t believe pad issues are still going on. Killacammy/gxstacy/scott has been playing on ps3 pad for years, and all he did was grab a converter. I’m sure someone in the scene would be willing to buy one for you off Ebay as long as you give them the money up front.

Running public events doesn’t work for a number of reasons.
- nobody plays the games enough to pay for a tournament that we haven’t already met
- if they do play and are willing to pay, it’ll be a onetime thing as they’ll probably get trainwrecked
- it’s a major pain in the ass for no real return.
I know you’re new around here, but we’ve done all these before. I’ve done all these before, multiple times, multiple different ways.
EDIT: to elaborate on this: new players will never stick around and aren’t necessarily a good or bad thing for the scene. Most of us have a year or so at least of trying to play the game properly… even if we found 30 new guys they’d lose consistently for like a year lol. on that note, i highly doubt theres a bunch of untapped players who are actually decent hiding out in the city…

I think you guys should focus on casuals/learning and head to out of town tournaments if possible. You’re not gonna learn a thing from playing the same guys all the time imo.
And if anybody is on 360 wishing to throw down some 4(i will not mvc3 online…sorry) hit me up.
Almost all of them are in the same program and year as me at the college. I know all of them quite well. I even offered to help run Brawl (or introduce and run SF4) for them at No Man’s LAN citing my past tourney experience both playing and organizing and they were like “nah we got our own way of doing shit”. I’ve given up hope on them. Let scrubs be scrubs.

About the St. Clair thing: LOL. Those guys are the definition of casual gamers. You could not find a more poorly run tournament if you tried.

I dunno, I was just kinda sick of seeing shooters always being the stuff being hosted at places like this. Shooters and whatever the current Madden game on the market, that’s all I’d see getting hosted at Windsor colleges/schools.

The use of a PS2 converter is more or less like a “If the other option doesn’t work out”, if you read it clearly. Notice how I had a much bigger emphasis on the Wii-TvC stick than the PS3 KO Stick.
