Seems like it could dependent on the condition of the console used. I can imagine older versions of the given console might have things like heat and ventilation issues with them. Having played MvC3 on both consoles, I could not notice any drops or gameplay altering issues.
I was hoping someone would ask this. I guarantee he will be at the next one though.
