It looks more and more like, “Will there even be an SNK by the time the KOF 20th anniv arrives?”
I wouldn’t mind Max Impact or some of its characters coming back. Sure, there was a lot of dumb stuff but I did have a lot of fun with MI2/KOF 2006 and Reg A.

Well, it’s the dream match of the Ash Saga so he’d most probably be still in the game. It’s a dream match so there most probably isn’t going to be a story anyways. All I can guess is that they’ll make Ash high or top tier kinda like how they intentionally made K’ really good for 02um since he’s the hero of that saga and that dream match. They could have just buffed K’ a tiny bit from 02 to 02um, but they really laid it all out and made one of the best K’ iterations ever.
yeah, 02UM K’ is the best K’ ever… his fighting style was clear and focus compared to other iterations… the only problem i think was his meterless damage was too high.
You know what would be cool? An Anniversary with every character, stage, theme song in it. If not all at least all the ones made for NEO GEO hardware.
