i plan on seeing it no matter what. will smith owns july 4th and i got the cash to blow lol.
i didn’t like this. i thought it was sub par, and the storyline was so convoluted and like random. i would have much preferred if it would make up its mine as to being a pure action, or pure comedy , or drama. but the way it mishmashed, even will smith coulnd’t carry this for me. hulk ironman and zohan are still carrying this summer.
whats with the wednesday release ? so random. gonna watch it though.

Saw it at 9 yesterday… It was good, but fell off at the end for me. It was trying to be to much i think. I dont think i laughed once, smile and Ohhh’d here and there but didnt really laugh. Anyway didnt live up to what i thought it was gonna be, it should just been Rated R or just a good pg 13 movie.

anyway, i liked the movie, but the special were bad imo…a cool take on the “super hero” movie…
also the movie really wasnt about it being “epic”…

The movie had problems getting a pg-13 rating. It was suppose to be rated R until Will Smith hopped on board. Even after he was on board they still wanted to keep it as edgy as possible. IMO that took away from the movie somewhat. If they would have just did one or the other instead of trying to do a lil bit of both then i think it would have turned out better.

I must be getting old. I’m not enjoying movies like I used to. 1st I didn’t like Wanted and now this movie feels plain. I thought it was gonna be epic and a blockbuster. I left the movie theater thinking “Kungfu Panda might be the best movie I’m gonna see this summer.” It was very forgettable. The plot holes were too big to ignore imo.
It was good at the start but after Hancock meets Charlize and the plot twist hits (a good unexpected twist) you could walk out of the movie and come backj as the credits roll for some hilarity.

the movie was ok…maybe its just me but i though it was better and cooler when he was a bum. hopefully the sequel(s) are better. and he needs a super villian.
I pretty much agree with what everyone here is saying. Seems like halfway through the movie the steam runs out. My friend who is a big action buff said it best: “well… that was different.”
It truly felt that halfway through the film they ran out of plot and some guy in the scriptroom started saying “wouldn’t it be cool if this happened! Or this!”
The movie climaxes WAY too early. The first part of the film was great and was definately edgy but the second half made a turn for “feel good movie.” You can certainly see how the movie starts off down the road of being R rated but halfway through it backpedals to PG-13 ville.
This is also another case of movie previews spoiling the movie for me. Basically if you have seen a preview for this film you’ve already seen the best parts. It is underwhelming when you see him throw that kid up in the sky for the 50th time even though you’ve actually only “seen” the movie once.
Not worth the price of admission. Save your money for Batman instead.
Most movies are as you expect them to be these days and this one definitely was. I didn’t take it too seriously going in so it was, to me, kinda like watching I Am Legend. A good show but nothing epic really.

whoa whoa whoa !! backpedal on this one. in no way canyou compare this movuie to i am legend. that’s borderline blasphemy. one was an actually good movie , the other can’t be compared. i am legend blows this out the water, shouldn’t haver the same experience watching both 
I’m going to go see Wall-E again instead.

Now that I think about it, a Fresh Prince movie wouldn’t have been bad. Notice the past-tense, as that shit probably wouldn’t fly now.
Truth. CG looked like crap from 10 years ago in the Mummy and the ending was hella weak compared to the novel’s ending.
