I don’t really feel the love for Will Smith that everyone else here does, but this movie looks like it might be fun to watch.
It certainly seems like he’s willing to try all kinds of roles, although I think a lot more could be said about the movies he’s in, than the overall calibur of his acting ability. I thought Men in Black, I Robot, Wild Wild West, Independence Day, etc… those movies seemed kinda retarded to me and were aimed at ‘family friendly’ audiences, right? I know they made a shitload of money. But then you have movies like that one where he was raising a son and trying to get a job, shit I dunno what the name was, but it was totally different, and showed what he was capable of. I haven’t seen it, but apparently it was considered to be a ‘good’ movie by critics, and not just a ‘fun’ movie?
What movie fan takes any attitude OTHER than this one? Movie reviews are as subjective as it can physically get. A good shooting technique to one person will annoy the next man (Man on Fire’s shaky cam for example is love it or hate it, I love it) line delivery can be acceptable to some people and not to others. Fucka review, I want to see what I want to see, always.
I don’t believe I’ve even READ a movie review in the past 5 years.
So according to reviews, this movie sucks major rectum. Disappointing. You’d think Smith and Theoron couldn’t miss. I hoped at worst this would be better then I Am Legend.
Just got back from seeing Hancock, and I must say that it wasn’t bad. It wasn’t by any means great, but I enjoyed it. The movie does have a plot twist that thankfully hasn’t been spoiled by any of the commercials or advertisements.
Long story short without needing a spoiler tag, no.
Just came back from seeing it myself. I can see where the reviews got their ‘plot holes out the ass’ logic with the movie. It starts off overly epic and and by about 75% of the way through, you’re waiting for it to pick it back up and it never happens.
Still worth seeing though, only because the first half of the movie is friggin hilarious.
