RIP Will Martin you will be missed by many, my condolences to everyone who has felt this loss, as for you DJ system, you’re best to keep that foul shit out of here, you’re one cold little bitch… RIP WILL!

I think it is very sad to see someone go out like this. I just wish there was something I could have done.

Stole the words right out of my mouth but yeah he was a cool guy and one of my first friends in the scene. I sucks that im not gonna get to see him again but i will always remember him and the funny things he used to say during matches.

R.I.P.

I never met Will, but I wish his family the best of luck.

R.I.P.

Remind me to punch you in the throat next time I see you.

There’s nothing I can add past what others have. I’ve got so many thoughts on life, death, love, and who we consider important. All I can say is that you need to live every day like it’s going to be your last. Tomorrow isn’t promised to anybody. Today might be your last. Your homeboys, your lady, anybody you care about, they could all be gone tomorrow. Make sure people know where they stand cause tomorrow brings nothing but uncertainty. Things like this can only re-enforce that thought. Make sure you’re livin’ right by the people around you cause you never know what’s going to happen.

To everybody in MD, the ones I met and the ones I haven’t, one love to ya’ll. I got nothin’ but love for the MD cats. From the E.M.S. crew to you and yours, keep your heads up. Let ATL know if there’s anything we can do.

Hypervipersniper: Thanks its good to hear from you again old friend ( dam it must have been mad long since we talked cus i called you old friends some old LOTR type shit) but its been awhile keep in touch nigga the thing that makes me sad is that it takes a death for fools from the area to come together.

DJSystem: there is nothing i can say to you i’m not sure if your question is out of curiosity or you simply being a fucked up person. He dies how doesn’t matter thats for the family to know. His trials and tribulations as a man are his and his family’s shit to keep. When i say family i’m talking about MD/VA. But because i am mourning i hold no anamosity (SP) to you for this.

Peace
James

I really wish I had the chance to meet him, but Rest in Peace…

:shake:
I know youre not trying to be rude,
and not too much of a big deal of a question guys
but still I wouldnt asked about it in this thread.
Just positive things…

Ill ask his mom & sisters if its okay to send cards,
If I have their permission to put up an Address in here I’ll do it,then everyone can send something if you want.

Damn,i never met or knew the guy but may he rest in peace and may his family be alright. And also have a moment in silence for him, amen.

Permission Granted;

-Sending cards would be very nice-
-Sending a few bucks for Will’s son’s expense( like food ) would be even nicer-esp if everyone in here did it.

SKISONIC, you can put the address on the front page

Wow. Just wow. Will is the LAST person I would have ever expected to do something like this. He was easy-going, a laugh a minute, and a total straight shooter.

Quick Will story: I remember very distinctly playing him in A3 casual before a tournament at GT one time. I was playing V-Karin vs. his A-Guy and, as usual, he was tearin’ me up. He gave me matchup pointers here and there but still gave no quarter and beat me down. Finally after about 5 losses, I took a match from him. He let go of the stick, looked at me for a second, and then gave me that big Cheshire Cat grin of his. He then proceeded to put in another quarter, choose V-Gief, and wipe the floor with my sorry ass without saying a word. He ended up winning the A3 tourney that day in an epic 2-set finals with Arturo. He also peaced me out of winners.

Not quite sure why I remembered that day so vividly when most of the GT tourneys are just a blur except for the fact that I could recognize what a powerful personality Will was. He gave off a positive vibe and, like others have said, just attracted people to him with his easy-going demeanor. Will was a great player and a great guy. My condolensces to his family + close friends.

Damn. I’m back home trying ot find a link to the Pacer/Piston fight for my mom - so I send her to SRK and she says someone died

So I skim thru it real quick and see Will Martin. I thought for a second, hesitated thinking “naw that couldn’t be him - he seemed cool as shit at GTR2 - must be someone else”. So I kept reading and it became obvious who it was :amazed: I just stood there for a moment not knowing what to do or feel. Please don’t misconcieve my following comments - the saddest part about suicide isn’t the person’s death - its the people left behind - they have to live with it. There is nothing we can do for Will at this point - its his friends and family that I wish the best too at the moment. After digressing from the topic with my moms - I was thinking of calling Koop and B-more and Dave, but I fiugred they knew already. If ya’ll need anything - feel free to holla at a playa - if ya’ll want a BoB or anything to sorta get over things let me know. Nyte on the town even - just holla. That extends to ALL his people - VA to MD people who were close to him.

I just don’t think I’ll ever forget the frustration of people shouting his name at my events - and thinking they were calling me…
The silly times are ofte the best…

RIP. Never met him, but I KNOW I would’ve enjoyed trash-talkin’ the guy … and then getting it back two-fold.

Will was one of the coolest, down to earth funniest guy,he always made me laugh, talking junk and was never afaid of a challenge!
That was what stuck out the most to me about Will!
The news brought me down so much, especially since I was looking foward to seeing him in philly!
Nothing but good thoughts and memories come about when you mention the name…
Will Martin!!!
Got nothing but love for him!
