Dude, only like 4 people watch GSN. I think the “watching grass grow” channel has more viewers. I never even heard of that shit until those assholes did a show on EVO.
As for Marvel, I agree with you to a point, but I don’t think it takes away from it being a fun game. It had and still has a huge fan base in the States, and people won’t forget how exciting the game was. Perhaps, after a break from it, people might get the urge to play the game again (kinda like 3rd strike got revived after seeing good matches at EVO).
Overall, I’d say Marvel is on hiatus.

And Tekken 5 is THE game at the moment… the only fighting game still keeping arcades running.

As far as I see it as long as there is one person out there who’s still playing Marvel, it isn’t dead. And…to me and most people I know, Marvel is like a drug…once you start playing it it’s tough as hell to stop. Lol. Marvel isn’t dead, it’s just slowing down a little. Shit ain’t denial, i just want to give the game a last big exit before we all move on to something else permanently. Sure the game will be played, just like Contra and Duck Hunt is still played, but it won’t ever be as exciting as it was 2 years ago. But my goal is to make it just as exciting for ecc10, so we don’t think back 10 years from now and regret the game fizzling away.

As for me, well, I’ll be “honestly” quitting marvel vs capcom 2. The game has brought me many fun times and I’m glad it came to be. But, ECC10 will give this game one last :party: before it’s time is over.
I’m seriously moving onto TEKKEN 5 once it comes out on ps2.
