In the epic action RPG I’m designing on paper and hoping to one day get made, I too borrow Abyss’s element idea. It really is a nifty concept. Not as nifty as Dr. B though: he leaves B Zones that turn Mystic Artes into Death Star Beams.
Wii Motionplus only deals with tilt and position. It’s not needed at all for pointing at the screen. I can’t say I haven’t had any issues with it but as long as there’s an understanding that the wii mote needs to ‘see’ where the sensor bar is and not get it confused with any other infrared sources then everything works fine.

Super Mario Collection manages to do with Kirby’s Epic Yarn couldn’t…and that’s dethrone Pokemon from the top. Naruto (PS3) tried to use Rasen Shuriken…it was almost effective. Vanquish (PS3) made top 10 over there too. NMH2 didn’t make top 10 and Sports Champions just barely made top 20. RDR (PS3) and KH: Re Coded seem to be slowly slipping. I wasn’t expecting Medal of Honor (PS3) to make top 10.

Something of note that wasn’t mentioned before is that if you don’t want motion you can play it traditional style with just the wii-mote. He also mentions that they did remix Aquatic Ambiance for those who love DK’s music.

^ depends upon how well versed you think she is into platformers and how determined she is to learn if she can’t do it off the back. Most core gamers take their ‘mario skills’ for granted because it’s been ingrained into them since they started gaming. I mean I’m pretty sure a majority of us have played games that tested us at least on an equal level as Super Meat Boy and at an earlier age. IMO I’d say buy it and if she finds it too hard to get any fun out of it then she finds it too hard. I say let her find out what her limits are.

9.0 A tad bit higher than I was expecting but from what craig said in the review it sounds pretty justified. Some complaints included sometimes enemy A.I. had issues (he didn’t delve into exactly what it was), no voice chat, and framerate issues. From the sounds of things the single player campaign might be ‘short’ but considering the fact that you can play through on multiple difficulties with more objectives added for each I’d say that should negate it. Also those complaining about recharging health bars should make sure to note they have a classic 007 mode in the game.

6.5 They had some hate in their heart for this game lol. I feel like they were nitpicking everything. They hated the blur when you reload, They didn’t like the wiimote and nunchuk and prefered ccp, called the levels generic after the dam and facility, and hated the last boss fight. I think the only thing they gave it praise on was the online multiplayer lol. From what I’ve been reading though GI has been notorious so far for hating on just about every Wii FPS. Apparently someone from GI actually said that the controls in Metroid Prime Trilogy were completely inferior to the gamecube setup. This has caused me to lift an eyebrow at it and looked for it. The guy said it in the second opinion lol.

B+ Didn’t point out as many complaints as IGN’s but they weren’t fond of the QTE…especially in boss fights, thought the pace was slow and said the split screen felt better than online. Interestingly…they also said this game isn’t as fun as Goldeneye N64…I hope that’s not nostalgia goggles talking.

Anyways. Trading in all my DS shit probably Thursday or Friday since I haven’t played any of the games in months (and don’t plan to) and there aren’t any DS games I want until Pokemon Black/White comes out and the 3DS dropping.

Also…is it bad I plan on getting the Black Wii instead of the Limited Edition Mario Wii? Cause even though the Mario Wii comes with a game and is the same price…I still want the standard Black Wii. Mainly cause it will match. :lol:
