Metroid: Other M Interview
Since I can’t watch video at work, I’m assuming this is a video interview of Metroid director Yoshio Sakamoto and Team Ninja director Yosuke Hayashi.

looks weird as hell shanking someone fully with a katana…and there’s no blood. I love the launcher into aerial combo idea. Hopefully they’ll go further with it. If they add the classic samurai slash through (zip past someone while cutting them) that’d be even more awesome.

EDIT: Thus far, the movement reminds me of Tekken. There is a solidness to the camera when she is moving left/right. It also seems the camera flips around during “special moves”, then locks back into place.

What Happened to Link’s Sword?
one big thing I noticed immediately is that miyamoto said this game isn’t going to connected to another zelda title. Which means that this game as is right now is not the sequal to Twilight Princess. It’s another new Link. That’s what I’m getting from it.
If he’s losing the sword, then I hope it’s replaced with a beard.

man this game looks way better than I could have hoped…I seriously think this game could lead the way for some other developers to get ideas. I’m glad to see 3rd parties starting to get up off their ass with Ubisoft and HVS leading the pack.

Link definitely looks older. And that… that thing looks like the true spirit of the mastersword. Look at the skirt, it’s the same exactly color and hilt style of the Master sword.
Whoa, sick. Spirit girl inside the Master Sword? Works for me, as long as she goes into choppy stabby mode when I need her to.
oh wow…nice find blodia and that analysis of the picture is excellent. Where I was intrigued before about the concept of Link not having his sword currently…I’m now even more interested in the idea of the sword having a spirit. I really wanted a sequal to TP after the way it ended but I’ll be fine following the story of this link. The first trailer that shows up of this game is probably going to be hype.

My thoughts…
Seems like this Spirit was either a guardian, perhaps of time or a certain realm, that became the Master Sword, or the other way around; the Master Sword was brought to life for some purpose.

Plot: In order to save Hyrule Link has to awaken his sword and will search the land for the Vitality Stone (Wii Motion Plus + Wii Vitality Sensor). The Vitality Stone will awaken the true spirit of the sword and will strengthen based on Links heart Wearing the Vitality Sensor and based on on screen action, the sword’s strength and form changes based on your heart rate). The motion plus is there for true 1:1 link sword action.
Note: This is just pure speculation on my part. You know miyamoto will find a use for the WVS.
