I remember the sad day I had to update my firmware so I could buy World of Goo, knowing that it killed my chances of importing TVC…alas, no more.

Keep in mind you’re paying $32 for the whole thing. I’m not giving Square $32 for some shoddy looking touchup of a Japanese cell phone game; I’ve already read about what happens in the story, and that cost me a hell of a lot less.

how long is this game anyway…all together? And Square seems to get away with overpricing stuff on the DS. They’re the only one’s putting games on the DS at 40 bucks regardless of it being a remake or not. Respect their hustle?

Ok I updated the front a bit…but I’m having trouble remembering some of the Wii Ware stuff that’s coming out. If you guys can help me out with that or have any suggestions post it up in this thread so that others can agree or disagree.
Kingdom Hearts Rules in Japan:
sooo…yyyyeah…KH and Ace attorney take top spot while Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires takes 3rd spot on the PS3. No Wii title is in the top 10 at all this time.
DSi completely steamrolls over everything and stomped on Psp 2 to 1. Wii beats out Ps3 for third and the Ds lite edges out 360 by a little over couple thousand.
Nintendo Sees No Reason for Wii HD:
of course not…they’ve been ‘IT PRINTS MONEY!’ since Day 1. But I imagine the day when we see Nintendo IP’s in the same graphical quality as PS3/360. I imagine I’ll probably be like…30 years old when that happens.

In the upcoming WiiWare department, Roll Around and that Kid Icarus-like platformer look to have potential at least.

Not sure how long it is, but I’m sure for prices less than or close to $32 I can get a longer RPG or a better game of any genre that isn’t some port of a cell phone game made solely to rip people off.

There is, in fact, only one thing that’s better than Dr. B, and that’s Dr. B piloting a B-Wing starfighter. Yes, there were B-Wings. They were kinda weird; their out-of-combat form kinda looked like they were lying down or something, and in-combat it was kinda like watching a crucifix with lasers.
My problem so far with Final Fantasy IV: The After Years is that Ceodore is bitch-made. There’s no goddamn way the son of Cecil Fucking Harvey and Rosa Fucking Farrell should be this damn whiny and emo about “My parents aren’t what makes me special blah blah blah”…Yes actually, they ARE what makes you special, bitch-made. Lunarian blood and all. Now shut the fuck up.
I’d like to give a big FUCK YOU to Nintendo’s hardware durability as of late.
Here’s what happened:
I was busy playing the new Punch-Out, and already up to contender Sandman, with the batteries in my remote down to one bar. However, the punk was giving me trouble, and while running my fingernails over the 1 and 2 buttons to get up from being knocked down yet again (convex plastic buttons and the smooth side of the nails makes for QUICK mashing), up comes the ‘communication with the remote interrupted’ message. Batteries finally kicked the bucket. So, I go to put new batteris in, and the goddamn thing refuses to start back up. It’s fucking deader than your sex drive after seeing Rosie nude. Shit is NOT supposed to die on you in just over a year with only normal use (for those of you who know me, I may get hard on my Classic Controller, but I always made sure to avoid being rough with the remote).
I mean, I know the thing’d had one of the batteries leak a little bit from being unused for a bit too long, but I caught it quickly and cleaned the contacts thoroughly, which appeared to have done the trick. So why the hell did this thing go Chinese on me? Has Nintendo really let their quality go to shit?
I remember the old NES controllers were built like fucking rocks. They may not’ve been the most comfortable things to hold for half of forever, but not only did they hold up, those fuckers were able to take some actual punishment. SNES controllers were great about that too, especially the Nintendo-made ones. The decline started with the 64, as those couldn’t really take too many ‘OMFG did that really just happen’ drops before getting fucked up, and we all know how the analog sticks were. Shit got worse on Gamecube, and now this?! I consider myself among Nintendo’s fans, but goddamn, keep this trend up and you’ll drive me away yet!

Nintendo’s hardware quality control’s been going down the drain lately–this I agree with. My DS Lite’s hinge cracked, so now it flops open and closed more loosely than a Thai whore. And the R trigger doesn’t work either–any game requiring the R trigger’s basically a lost cause.
I’m caught between wasting money on a completely new DS Lite, or taking my chances with a DSi, where flashcart support’s kind of uncertain.
I’ve had my wii for about a good 2 years…and I haven’t had anything happen like that. Then again I didn’t have any acidic battery juice leaking into my controllers either and I’m using nyko’s rechargable battery packs. In terms of nintendo’s wiimotes…if anything their quality in hardware has gone up since the slight dip during 64 and gamecube. Don’t believe it? Ask the Tv’s that have had a wii mote chucked into them.
In terms of durability among nintendo’s controllers I’d put N64 on the lowest tier with Gamecube controller right above it…and even then the only problems i’ve had with them is from playing smash entirely too much and/or mario party abuse (people who played the first Mario Party know exactly what I’m talking about). That reminds me…I wonder if nintendo will put any of the 3 mario party games up for DL on VC.
