It’s like this, if you own a Wii and you haven’t played NMH then you sinning. Simple as that. NMH is that fucking good. I bought the game for $50 bucks and now you can get that and Red Steel for $30 at GS/EB. So go get it and you won’t regret the buy. As far as the gameplay goes, you’ll never get tired of raping cats. The boss battles are the draw of the game. One wrong move will get you murdered. And the story is so way out there it’s crazy. But you’ll get sucked in pretty quickly. THIS GAME GETS THE REXXXSOPRANO STAMP OF APPROVAL. YOU CAN’T GO WRONG WITH THAT.
Metroid: Other M’s art style really, really, really does NOT agree with me. It looks like cookie-cutter DoA/NG art. As for gameplay, we’ll see.
Dr. B can attract all the ladies, regardless of what Japanese demographic they were created in massive numbers to appease.
It’s missing items and it looks boring. Perhaps the people who are playing it make it look sucky.
I wish New Super Mario Bros Wii was out right now. I haven’t been this hype for a game in a pretty long time.
The Grinder Hands-on and Coop Eyes-on
You know I think High Voltage might have hurt themselves with releasing so much info on The Grinder. Because at the maximum hyped as I was for Conduit, this is already about double that.
The mindless baddies are just like the dating portion of trying to nail a super hot nympho, her personality is blah, but once you get to the sexual encounters aka the boss fights and its insane but hilarious storyline.
Yeah NMH’s really shines when you get to the boss fights. All of the fights were very fun and crazy. Should at least rent it to try.
I want to look at the new tmnt footage but I don’t have a really good connection right now at the moment. There’s some good vids that got posted up of stuff since I went to work. I really do think the game does have potential but I do agree that it just seems that something missing. It could be that the people playing don’t know what the fuck to do and are just doing whatever. In Example, in one of those that I posted up where April and Splinter are fighting they knock each other in the air but it seems like they don’t even attempt to pursue to continue the combo or anything. I think we need to at least get someone playing the game who’s at least attempting to explore what the game can do before any real judgements can pass on it and I don’t know when that’ll be.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 looks awesome. But where’s Luigi? :sad: Dude gets NO love, seriously. He had such an awesome mode in Galaxy 1 and it’s delegated to a “what if.” Unless… they make it some unusual other dimension or something, and the Luigi that Mario was helping was some fake–nah, fuck it. The Status Quo is God.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii looks like mad hotness. MAD hotness. COOP MULTIPLAYER 2D SUPER MARIO BROS THT ISN’T JUST A REMAKE OF ORIGINAL (non-super) MARIO BROS. This is a purchase for that alone. But Miyamoto’s chauvinism shows again.

Would have been cool if we had the Mario 2 gang back, different abilities and all. Game still looks amazing though. You know what would make it more amazing? A level editor. Fuck Little Big Planet if that’s the case. (Then again, not even a level editor could save Brawl’s abyssmal presence…)

Nintendo of Japan has been hating on Luigi since around the start of the SNES days, I suspect there was a surge of Luigi popularity around the time of Super Mario Kart, leading them to start a campaign to once again put Mario over the top as the more popular Mario Brother by smearing his image in all his following appearances.
But true Gs know the score, Luigi FTW in everything.
The black wii is sexy…too bad I have an investment in mine currently but if I didn’t I’d be rocking that.

Monado: Beginning of the World
New RPG for the Wii being developed by Monolith Soft. Not too much on details but there’s a few screenshots in the link.
It’s decent, but it becomes tedious. It has funny dialogue between characters.
I found the game to become exceedingly tedious. It starts out really fun, and the longer you get into it, the more time you spend navigating menus to switch characters/pixls and scrolling through massive walls of text. You use the 2D->3D flip less and less as the game goes on too. I was also ticked off that minor spoilersyou don’t get Luigi until World 7end spoiler.
