I barely trade in any of my stuff (yes…the irony that I work at GS and I don’t trade stuff in is not lost on me). For me to have to trade something in I would have to absolutely be certain that I’m not going to ever go back and play it/use it again otherwise you’re just losing money in the long run when you have to go back and buy it again…usually. That being said no there really doesn’t seem to be too much else coming out that will require the use of the motion plus at the moment which is sad but I’m sure all the games I’m going to be spending time with between now and LOZ: Skyward Sword I probably won’t be thinking too much about it.

I don’t know if I’d give it an A but Nintendo was definitely solid this first half imo. Red Steel 2 has left a lasting impression on me…I’ve probably said it before but I want more shit like this. I’m hoping Ubisoft gets enough money to work onr RS3 because I think they could really turn what they’ve done so far into something even more awesome. I’m gonna laugh when a game comes out on Move or Natal that’s similiar to what Red Steel 2 has done and most of the people that have been bashing on the Wii say something along the lines of ‘man this game is really original’ and the nintendo fanboys come back with ‘yeah it sure was…about a year and a half ago when it was called RS2’.

That DQM: Road to Victory game looks more interesting than I thought. That CG style for the opening looks really good with Toriyama’s artwork. Hopefully we’ll get more gameplay on it since it’s coming out in a few days over there.still no plans on if they’re going to release it over here yet. Perhaps we’ll hear something on DQ X before the end of this year?

I’ll finally be able to pick up my copy of S&P this week and I think I might also pick up Metroid: Zero Mission and Fusion with it. I don’t have any plans to buy anything else in July so I can go on a small Metroid bing and catch up on some games that I missed before Other M hits next month. I finally found out what it was that I needed to do in Super Metroid so I can continue in that and hopefully finish that up soon. I’m also eager for Other M to come out because I’m wondering if will do a cover on any of the tracks from the game.

I’m still holding out hope that Platinum will do a sequal for MadWorld at some point…

5.0 Ouch!? So far the highest score is from [Destructoid with a 75](http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/wii/tournamentoflegends?q=tournament of legends). Oh well HVS…get back to work on Conduit 2!

Gilbert Gottfried will be voicing Ridley in Other M lol

Lmao…you’d better be lying.

Edit:

seriously though that’d be some shit if you went through some epic events to get to the Ridley boss fight and then Iago’s voice is coming out him. I wiould not be able to take it seriously lmao.

Are there any must have wiiware or dsiware tittles? I just remembered that I haven’t spent my 500 points that came with Monster Hunter.

I can’t think of any must have wiiware games that are 500 points or below if that’s all you have unfortunately. Most of the good Wii Ware titles are closer to the 1000 range.

At last! Trailer of The Last Story

[THE LAST STORYiXgXg[[jFgC

Goddamn, that looks sick.

Holy Bejeesus, that game looks AMAZING. Points I really like:

-Real time combat. That looks like some Vagrant Story and Valkyrie Profile in one engine.
-The graphics. Animations looked good as hell, I liked how you actually push your way through crowds Assassin’s Creed style. Character models look a lot like Xenosaga Episode II’s style wise, and I loved the way the cast looked in that game. Wish I could say the same about Xenoblade’s character models…at least the game itself is really good according to Japan.
-Aspects of the combat system, like sneak attacks, huge brawls with lots of NPCs/enemies, and the Parasite Eve style targeting it looked like it used.

First Lost Odyssey (which is one of the best RPGs made, so play it if you haven’t), now this? Stop beasting on your old company so bad, Sakaguchi.

That trailer is quite sexy. And to think this is MistWalker’s first try on this platform too…this game looks like it’s making a lot of 3rd party devs look even more lazy by comparison lol. The gameplay for this game looks quite interesting indeed. I’m hoping I can find a High def version of this game to bring to work.

If the feature that this game will utilize the Pointer in ways similar to NyxQuest was revealed in earlier footage/previews, somehow I missed it. Because I loved NyxQuest, I’m excited about this. I hope it can suprass NyxQuest in this regard (and overall, for that matter).

Someeone else has posted a thread on Tournament of Legends in the fighting game Discussion. He’s actually saying the game is pretty fun. Is anyone interested in taking the game for a spin?

News has been relatively slow…But I imagine things will start to really pick up by next month.

WiiWare: Tori Bash, Baloon Pop Festival VC: none

Arc Rise Fantasia got pushed back a week. I happened to look on the Store website on our computer at work tonight and I noticed it.

I was able to pick up S&P: SS finally last week and I’ve opened it up and read the instruction manual like I do with every game (Gamer habit and ritual) but I haven’t played it yet but I’m quite eager too…I’ve just been sucked into everything else and busy with other things. Also of note I went to Target with my girl and managed to persuade her to buy Prince of Persia: Forgotten Sands for the Wii (It was either that or 2 other shovelware titles…among them Cold Stone Creamery: Scoop it up. And before you ask…yes it sadly exists.) So hopefully I’ll get some play time on that and give my own impressions on it at some point. I watched her play a bit of it and my original dislike of both the fact that they have waggle for attacks and the fact the animation for the attacks looks kind of jerky still stands. The platforming so far looks quite good though. I da know…we’ll see.

I did a quick look up to see if there was any infomration at all on that Naruto game that’s coming out since they Tomy seems have been keeping pretty quiet about the game over here and is pretty much what to be expected out of it. To me this has ‘ehhhh…I da knowwwwwww…’ written all over it. That’s fine though…I’ll be busy playing Ultimate Ninja Storm 2. I’m quite annoyed that Bleach: Versus Crusade doesn’t seem to be finding its way over here.

Just stopping in to say how ridiculous S&P is lol. I’m trying to just play it on normal on the first try and see how well that goes. How well have you guys been doing so far on it?

Well crap I forgot to enter of my games for Platinum status this year.

So I entered them and got Platinum. Probably gonna redeem my points for Game and Watch Collection 2.

So I’m finally starting to play with my Wii after like, 2 years. It’s decent.

I’m just hoping that more hardcore mature games come out for it in future (YES, that DOES mean violence and blood). Not holding out much hope for anything decent, though. High Voltage is not getting the support it deserves. Seriously Nintendo should freaking hire these guys and mesh their tech with in-house gaming knowledge.

Thanks for the heads up I got this and it wasn’t bad. I really enjoyed it even though its really short and I mean it won’t last you more than an hour also it’s really easy but still good.

June 2010 NPD numbers:
June 2010 NPD Sales Results - Wii News at IGN

The top four spots in software were completely owned by Mario and Red Dead lol. Software went RDR (360, 582.9K), SMG2 (548.4K), RDR (PS3, 380.3K), NSMB Wii (174.8K), Just Dance (174.8K) WFP w/ BB, Toy Story 3 (DS), UFC 2010 (360), Lego Harry Potter (Wii), and UFC 2010 (PS3). I’m kinda surprised Toy Story 3 actually made it up to the top 10 but according to the reviewsthe game is actually mostly solid apparently.

360 actually managed to outsell the Wii by about 30,000 units which mostly can probably be contributed to the slim. DS is still in a league of it’s own. Hardware went DS (510.7K), 360 (451.7K) Wii (422.5K), (304.8K), PSP (121.0K). Looks like Naked Snake couldn’t CQC PSP out of being last in June.

Japan Numbers 7/16/10
Japan Parties With Wii Party - Wii News at IGN

Naked Snake can’t get the PSP to budge over here but Wii Party apparently is all that’s needed to nudge Wii back up over into 2nd place of the PSP over in Japan. To be honest I wasn’t expecting Wii Party to take #1 but I can’t say I’m surprised. White Knight Chronicles 2 managed to take 2nd. Harvest Moon: Twin Villages for the DS showed up in 4th while SMG2 is hanging around middle of the list. Amazingly Crackdown 2 showed up right after SMG2.

Hardware went DSi LL, Wii, PSP, PS3, DSi, 360, Lite, PS2, and Go
