Super Meat Boy is going to rock (in a N+ kind of way, which I loved), but I think I’ll get the 360 version for the online features.
S&P2 is right at perfect control-wise. Do not fail to buy this game next week.

The normal controls for GoldenEye2 is GREAT news, and I’m very excited for Sin and Punishment 2, definitely picking it up when it drops.
I’m assuming that the person who brought this up to the other managers got the idea from this kotaku article.
If it really is a classic controller packed in then why are they selling it at 69.99 instead of selling it at a lower price to save off of the peripheral like everyone else does when they’re together? I’m wondering if there is supposed to be something special about this controller or something…
Jimmy Fallon is going to have Donkey Kong Country Returns on his show on Friday from what he said in this interview. I don’t know if there’s any fans of his show or what not but it could be interesting. Also awwww…poor Perfect Dark :(.

relatively short interview…nothing really new is said but Treasure but it’s nice hearing some words from the creators. S&P2 comes out this Sunday!

so far this game is looking pretty damn solid. If they release it at 39.99 I MIGHT just fit it into my budget of games.
Sin and Punishment looks like straight fire:

I wish Wii had 3rd Person Shooters on lock the way it seems to have Platformers on lock. Goodness knows it has the perfect controller for them.
Any word on the length time wise of S&P? I’d like to know before I pay… and it IS a 50 dollar game, right?
yes the game is a 50 dollar game. And I’m trying to find where I read the length of this game but I think they said somewhere between 5-6 hours. Of course you’re probably going to want to do multiple playthroughs though. Give me one second…I’ll edit this post when I can find something that quotes the length.
Edit:
I didn’t have much luck finding somewhere where the length was stated even though I was sure of it…howeverNewgaf has a thread with how many levels they are and said that each level was about 30 minutes each. Factor that in with the idealistic thinking that you’re going to die at least once in one of these stages and I’d say 5-6 hours is a pretty good estimate for an average player.
Looking forward to Sin And Punishment next week. The trailers and footage on the Nintendo Channel eventually wore me down. Haven’t played an old school shooter like that since forever.
Treasure is dope. They’ve never made a bad game ever IMHO. Even their Bleach fighters are pretty good. Gunstar Heroes and Astro Boy on the DS are some of my favorite Treasure games.
It’s crazy how much clearer most Wii games look in high def…
Nintendo knows how to make some impressive looking games in plain standard definition…Looking at some of these screen shots on Neogaf is actually starting to make me curious how their games will look with the next graphically updated system. I’m also wondering how far are they going to go assuming that if they just make a new system that rivals the current power of a 360 complete with 720/1080 support this go around would that be enough for the next round of consoles? I’m not expecting Nintendo to go balls out graphic hardware race cause of their current trends…they’ve already proven their point twice over.

DS Surges in Japan Following Price Cut - Wii News at IGN
SMG2 booted Xenoblade from the top spot and sent it to 4th place. A game called Ghost Trick from the same team that did Phoenix Wright is in the second spot for the DS. Grand Theft Auto: Episodes of Liberty City on the PS3 is selling pretty well at 5th spot. Friend Collection for the DS and Winning Eleven are still floating around on the list.
DS has taken over again because of the price drop over in japan. PSP is holding down the second spot though. Hardware went: DS LL, PSP, Wii, DSi, PS3, Lite, 360, PS2, and Go.

7.5 GT was hating on the graphics, voice work and the story.
I don’t think i’m going to be able to pick up S&P until my next paycheck >(. Everyone’s going to be playing and enjoying the craziness before me.
So… S&P: Star Successor is out folks. Who’s playing it?

9.0 The only real complaint he gave was about the look of the characters. Of course the story is loopy lol.

I wish I could say I am but my copy won’t get here until Tuesday. I’m going to be all over that game. I hope to play it at least as much as I played Bayonetta.
I downloaded Art Style Rotozoa and Light Trax today. I played through the first 8 stages of Rotozoa… woo! This game is hot, yall. It’s easily my favorite of the Wii Art Style series right now. I’m sure I’ll be able to get into Trax also once I get the hang of everything.
I just beat the first three stages of Sin and Punishment: SS. I must say it’s WAY better than the first game and the controls are much better. This game is fun as hell, it reminds me of a trippy version of metal slug. With hovering, dodging and charge shots.
The game is a little hard for me though, as I am not good at shooters. I’ve seen the game over screen a couple times. I hope that treasure makes another one of these bad boys.
Picked up Sin And Punishment yesterday. LOL at a reserve coming out on a Sunday. First time for me, at Gamestop they said that happens a lot with Wii games. They all got to see me hungover for the first time and had a good laugh. I go there a lot.
Game is pretty epic. Easy Mode is not that Easy for shooter scrubs like myself. I played about 4 hours and I’m up to Stage 3. I’m playing with the classic controller that I got from Monster Hunter Tri for that PS2 joystick feeling. Once you get used to the motions it feels like second nature and easy to play.
Messing with the boy, Isa Jo since I like his sword attack compared to the girl.
The music has that old school Sega Genesis / arcade music that I can’t really explain but I really like (TVC has a few tracks like that).
The game keeps throwing crazy stuff at you all of the time, catches you off guard and you never know what’s next. LOL I battled a dolphin boss and a katana swinging girl boss already. The Water Tunnel is INSANE BTW.
One drawback is that you can play in Japanese but it is dubtitled like most games are. You can tell right away because the first line in the game is “System all green” in Engrish and the subs say something like “Turbines are ready.” To be fair I’ve only heard the expression “System all green” in mecha anime though. :looney:
Maybe a few modes like 2 player online co-op or to have the PC control the second player since the story, no matter how you play it involves both characters would improve the game The online ranking system is nice however. I suppose this ends my minor gripes with the game.
Definitely worth a purchase. I agree that 50’s a little high I haven’t had this much fun with a console shooter since the Dreamcast. At least with the reserve you get a 500 Wii card. Gonna buy some Mega Man 10 stuff.
Yeah…major Nintendo published titles get sunday releases usually.

Wii Ware: Jett Rocket, Pong Toss Pro, Robin Hood: The Return of Richard VC: Mario Tennis
Edit:
I added it to the front.
Holy shit so they finally released Mario Tennis. Shit is gonna get DL’d.
So i havent even finished S&P 2 and im already going back trying beat my score. I was thinking I did really good on level 1 because my score doubled since I realized how to bat back missiles, use charged shots correctly , etc. I posted my score online and checked it. Im like 23 in regional or something. What an ego breaker.
So how do you use charge shots correctly?
With Isa Jo on the classic controller if I’m fighting a boss I just keep the charge button held down (if said boss is in one of those phases where he can be shot of course). For that controller it’s where the PS2 R2 button would be. When it fills up I release. Otherwise I charge randomly, sometimes to beat up big obstacles / creatures on stages. You have to dodge of course because one hit will empty your charge.
