Wii Thread 4.0, WEEUWEEUWEEUWEE!

Yeah I’m going to be hit with the same problem lol. I’m probably going to have make room for both some how.

The only thing that was semi news worthy for today from what I’ve seen isXenoblade got dated in Japan . It’s coming out June 10th over there.

Japan Numbers 4/10/10

The software charts have been pretty dynamic over there. Konami managed to snag the no.3,4, and 10 spots with baseball titles across the PS3, PSP and PS2 respectively. Etrian Odyssey 3 for the DS manages to dodge Kenshiro’s ‘atatatah!’ and took first place from him. NSMB Wii slipped a spot but it just seems to be chillin. Yakuza 4 and DOA Paradise made their debut and apparently Yakuza 4 is selling better than it’s predecessors currently. I also just realized that NSMB is the only Wii title trying to hold it down lol.

PS3 and PSP saw a slight dip in sales…enough so on the PSP that the DS combined numbers beat it out again. That didn’t stop both of them from tag teaming the top though. Hardware went PS3, PSP, Wii, DSi LL, DSi, Lite, 360, PS2, and Go. And to think…Sony’s actually offering a free dl of Monster Hunter Freedom Unite with the Go…

Monster Hunter Tri Multiplayer Preview

Online sounds like fun and it sounds like capcom did an awesome job with it. No mention about any lag at the moment. Capcom put a nice chunk of work into this. I look forward to hunting with some of you guys before having to divide my time between this and SSFIV.

IGN First Look: The Last Story’s Hero & Heroine

The blog this time actually focuses in a bit on the main protagonists. I like the design of the chars…save for the Guy character’s sword. It looks the most uninteresting to me out of that drawing for some reason.

IGN Lost in Shadow Hands-on:

That shadow game Konami has been working on showed back up. I have to agree with a lot of the comments…it has an ICO/Echocrome feel to it which isn’t a bad thing. So far there it used wiimote and nunchuk with pointer controls. No waggle involved.

Capcom supporting Monster Hunter Tri with downloadable quests

I’m almost afraid to buy this now for fear that it will take over and destroy my life. Capcom is going for broke with this game.

It’s hilarious how deprived Wii owners are. A Wii game that has advertising, online multiplayer voice chat and DLC is a huge deal…but for 360/PS3 games it’s pretty much standard.

I was just thinking about something similiar last week. Wow at the fact that this game has DLC now. Capcom is going way far beyond the call of duty for this. I’m gonna be a really sad panda if they don’t see the type sales they want for this game. If I had money to do so I’d probably buy 2 copies of this game just because they’re putting this much effort into it. I’m going to want to falcon punch pirates in the face if they really don’t actually go out and buy this game.

Capcom easily has moved up to near the top of the third party publishers for Wii with this.

So I finally got my Wii online a few days ago and picked up MM9-10 and looked at a lot of the stuff on the Virtual Console and Wii Ware. My jaw hit the floor at all the stuff available. They actually got Cave Story for download! I’ve been wanting to play that game after hearing so many good things about it, but I just never got around to it.

Also, I just may have to get House of the Dead Overkill if I can find a copy. It’s the king of video game cluster F-bombs.

Any ideas for a scary game? I want something creepy and atmospheric, kind of like RE4. I was thinking Silent Hill, but from what I’ve read, the scary parts seem pretty predictable. Any other suggestions?

Check your local Gamestops, I’m thinking that because of the ‘GameDays’ sale going on the restocked the games in stores that didn’t have it. Because before that sale, I couldn’t find the game anywhere, but during the sell, I found it everywhere all at once! Plus it’s only 15!

I found it new for $15 as well! Can’t wait to play it. Though I don’t have a zapper, just the WiiMote and I’m tempted to get a second WiiMote to play this one with a friend.

I also got NiGHTS Journey of Dreams used for $10. Didn’t even plan on picking it up or any Wii games for that matter.

So what WiiWare games do you guys recommend? I’m trying to decided between Contra ReBirth or Castlevania Adventure ReBirth. Then again, I have enough points to get both so…

Bit.Trip (all games in the series)
NyxQuest
Cave Story

Art Style (games in the series. The upcoming two are looking cool.)

I moved and I didn’t have internet or tv for a couple of days. Good lordy it was PAINFUL. Plus I knew Gears of War 3 was going to get announced monday and I had no way of catching the trailer. Looks like there hasn’t been too much news Wii wise so far but I’ll try to gather up everything.

Impressions (Netflix on Wii)

Overall: Pretty good! I think Wii will become my system of choice for Netflix streaming.

-interface is nice and well designed to cater to Mote
It’s quite different from what I’m used to with the 360. You can use Point & Click, but it is not necessary to fully navigate, which was a good move. The only thing I feel I’m missing are more sounds. When hovering the cursor over a link or when making a selection, there’s silence. This is where I’d give the 360 the edge.

-quality is excellent
This is kind of weird, but I’m having a problem with The Legend of the Seeker: Season 2 (Episode 16, I believe) when streaming through 360. Lip-Speech syncing is way off. However, this is not at all the case when streaming via Wii. It’s perfect. When I encountered the problem last night, I thought it was in the stream. Now I’m thinking it may have to do with my 360’s hdd (like it could use formatting or something). Movie art and the movies themselves even load faster on Wii.

So do you use Netflix outside of 360/Wii? One problem I was seeing with 360 is that when you set your instant queue up online, most of those movies aren’t availble for 360 viewing. Is it the same way for Wii?

I actually don’t have that problem with the 360. When I add to Instant from my computer, it shows up just fine on the 360 (and Wii too, for that matter).

I guess I’m the only one with that problem then…

Random question fellas: If I remember correctly, Smash Bros. Brawl was made so that you weren’t able to transfer your data from one console to another with a SD card. Does this also apply to NSMB, or can I play my NSMB game saves on another Wii console with an SD card?

Maybe Dead Space Extraction or Cursed Mountain? That’s off the top of my head…I haven’t played either of them yet so I can’t personally recommend them.

Silent Hill is good and it’s pretty creepy. I’d say this is this is the best creepy game that’s out on the Wii that isn’t a port. The game has several different endings and the game changes depending upon different things that you do. That’s just my opinion though. Dead Space Extraction is pretty good but it doesn’t have too much stuff that’s really scary from what I’ve played of it so far (still haven’t finished it…need to do that at some point) and I personally can’t reccommend Cursed Mountain either because I haven’t played it.

Fitness Company Suing Nintendo Over Wii Fit:

You have gotta be shittin me… They aren’t just trying to sue Nintendo for the balance boards either…just about damn peripheral they’ve made is on that lawsuit. Seriously now?

Level-5 Unveils New Title:

It’s called Time Travelers…and we still don’t know what system it’s going to be on.

New Dragon Quest for Wii:

It’s actually a port of a arcade card game. No telling if it’ll come stateside.

IGN Monster Hunter Tri review:

8.8 some of the smaller complaints were that water combat was kinda clunky, there isn’t much story and playing with the Wii mote and nunchuk can be a slight pain. Not really a biggie at all though for those who have a classic controller. IGN UK gave it a 9.3

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands Wii - Wii Story Trailer

Graphically the game looks kinda rough imo but if the gameplay is great then that’s all that matters. Don’t have high hopes for it since they said they made waggle for attacks but I could be wrong.

Trauma Team - Heart Surgery Gameplay

‘Doctor! We need your help disabling this atom bomb!’

Can’t wait for MH Tri, that game will be too hype. Probably going to buy Wii Speak for it too.

I am so hyped for MH Tri. These days need to move faster. I might also get a wii speak. Does anybody here have one?

I have one from buying the animal crossing bundle.

do you need to use friend codes for MH tri?
