you must have missed the memo on Nintendo’s 1st party games. They keep their value for a LOOOOOOOONG ass time. You wanna know the biggest offender? The pokemon games for the GBA still go for $30 used at our store. In fact to be honest it doesn’t even have to be developed by nintendo and just carry one of their top characters. Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games is STILL $50 new even with the slightly better sequal out. I think Metroid Prime 3 was still going for 49.99 until Metroid Prime Trilogy came out and it dropped to 19.99. LOZ: Twilight Princess was $50
new all the way up until it went out of stock. I put money on it that Galaxy 1 won’t budge in price even after 2 comes out.
Also semi related to this, I’m wondering when Nintendo is going to get down off of their pile of money for a moment to start putting out a Player’s Choice line up. Even though I know they don’t have a need to do so since anything they seem to put out people eat it up but it’s been about 4 years now. Microsoft and Sony both have their Platinum/Greatist hits lineup already going and I just feel it’s a bit lacking on their end. I’m hoping they’ll introduce it this year but I’m not gonna hold my breath on it.
