Super Mario Galaxy 2 trailer made me happy in the pants, Monster Hunter Tri having free online in US was expected since it was the same case with the first MH on PS2. Other M makes me happy in the pants as well.

I’ve never played any of the SB games but it looks way more interesting than dynasty warriors to me. I’d probably play Ishida since he seems to use an Iaido type of style and I like that style alot.

It looks like the MH3 demo will be available for anyone to try starting March 8th, no preorder required. Instead, the Gamestop preorder bonus will be a 500 points Wii Card and $5 off the game. I’ve never played Monster Hunter before so I’m definitely gonna be grabbin one of these!
That probably can’t be stressed enough. If a gamestop employee tries to tell you that you can’t get the demo until you preorder it you can probably slap that in their face. The incentive to reserve it though is practically $10 dollars though so I’m probably gonna jump on that. Man I’m not gonna have enough money for this year lol…I’m gonna have to hold off on getting Sky Crawlers and put that gift card on NMH2.
Japan Numbers 2/26/10
Resident Evil 5 Gold (PS3) took the top spot this week and God Eater got shoved down to no.2. NSMB is still holding on to that 3rd spot. Heavy Rain made top 10 at 6th. New Yu-Gi-Oh 5d game on the ds broke into the top 10 and Wii Sports Resort is trying to sneak it’s way back up in the list. List has a nice mix of Sony and Nintendo stuff but 360 games haven’t been anywhere to be found for awhile at least in the top 10.
PSP and PS3 are tag teaming the top spots now with just a big ass wall of Nintendo following afterwards. Hardware went PSP, PS3, Wii, DSi LL, Dsi, Lite, 360, PS2, and as usual…Go.

has anybody been downloading the Monkey island episodes on the Wii? i desperately want to play them but in the UK each episode is priced at about 10 each! making the whole season cost the rather unreasonable price of 50!!!
id love to know if there are any plans to release the whole lot as a bundle for a discounted price like you can do on the PC version but havent seen any confirmation of this at all.
any other monkey island fans have any insight on this?

nothing much in the way of news today on the Nintendo front today it seems besides NHL 2K10 being exclusive this year. I will however note that my GS got the demoes for Monster Hunter Tri in and I’m not surprised that Gamestop is telling it’s employees something slightly different then what Capcom is saying. They’re telling us the customer has to buy either be buying a Wii or any Wii game period before they can get the demo. I tried telling my manager (who so happens to be MooseHummel on these boards) what capcom said. I think Capcom is probably going to have to make sure the means of getting the demo is clear.

I’m not planning on losing my job over it I’m just letting people know what’s up. I can only try to make suggestions about things at work. Yes you’re entitled to it if you reserved it.
And GS actually just sent out an update to stores clearing it up so everything is good again. The demo is free period. We’re supposed to give them to anyone who experesses interest in it so go nab it.

lots of things got moved around this week at least on the software side. A game for the PSP called Kenka Bancho4 took the top spot and God Eater took a boot to 4th place after both RE5 (PS3) and NSMB Wii. Shiren the Wanderer 4 for DS debuted at #7 and Hot Shots Tennis for the PSP came up to #6. The last spots belong to Wii Fit Plus, Friend Collection, and Dragon Quest VI. Where’d the heck Heavy Rain go?

I feel like a total MM noob these days, MM10 is kicking my entire ass. I beat Commando Man but that effing Strike Man stage with the mini-bosses keeps taking my face off. 
Luckily this thread hasn’t been touched by ‘the incident’ that’s occured. The Wii thread seems to be lucky enough to not have much of that going on but I’m assuming the people that visit this thread don’t have too many qualms with how I’ve been running it and putting up information. That is of course an assumption. If there has been any issues in the past, present or future then don’t hesitate to voice your opinion.
So I goto get the MH3 demo today and of course the employee there tells me that I can’t have it unless I preorder the game. After telling him over and over what Capcom Unity said and not backing down, he finally caved and gave me a copy because “he had extra in stock.” Does GS murder your family if you don’t meet a quota for preorders or something? :lol: They are insane about their customers reserving games.
I have my preorder paid off and i got my demo, but they didnt say anything about the Wii points or the discount. Anyway, my thoughts on the demo… Im more hyped for this game than ever. If they do online correctly,with the already addicitve single player… I dont ever think I will stop playing this game.
GS is a retail store so the employees are tracked by their numbers. It’s all going to depend really on the store and the company that’s there really because if it’s me and I ask a customer do they want this or do they want that I’m not going to badger them to hell and back about it because I’d rather them feel comfortable coming back into the store without being hounded. The higher your position at the store the more pressure you’ll feel from corporate to do better. Reserves do help the game companies though since that does tell companies that ‘I AM INTERESTED IN THIS TITLE’. Remember…your money is voting power.
They shouldn’t be doing that either way since they did send out an update that the demo should be going to anyone who’s interested. I’m not going to say what it was in though because that might be delving too deep into territory I shouldn’t be giving out. If the GS refuses to give you the demo then it’s either because A) They may not have read what they were supposed to read or B) they read it and they’re just trying to boost their reserves anyway. If they’re really adamant about not doing it…I’d reccommend just going to a dif gamestop if one is within the vicinity.
It actually says on the thing that they grab the Monster Hunter Tri demoes from that if you reserve it you get the Wii points and the $5 discount. I got my demo disc and reserved it (one with the classic controller) but I haven’t played it yet. I’m glad the online is free so I’ll actually try to enjoy MH for the first time with some SRK peeps.
