I mentioned that…lol

IGN FFCC: Chrystal Bearers review

6.2 wasn’t expecting that low of a score. They said some of the same things GT among some other things and were more harsh on it. Judging by how the reviews are looking at the moment…this may end up being a love it/hate it game. If you bought the game and are playing it give some thoughts/impressions on it please.

I’m reading people’s impressions on it and most who are playing it seem to be enjoying it so far for right now.

Yo, so I finally played some 4-player Mario last night, and that was pretty sweet. I really wish it were high-def, though, since there were times I couldn’t see shit or tell the difference between Toad and Toad 2 (good luck when they both have Penguin Suits on).

Also, when you and your friends just grief each other all day, the game can get pretty hard. Otherwise, it’s still too easy (but it feels a bit too slidey sometimes, too). We did the same shit with Trine.

Anyway, another thing I don’t really like is how often you have to shake the damn Wii Remote. I definitely would have preferred just classic controls.

EDIT: A few other things I don’t like: When any player dies, the game pauses for a moment, and that throws off the timing for everyone. Even worse is that the respawn bubble will take the momentum of any player who runs into it, so if you’re floating over a pit while another player tries to jump over and he runs into you, you both die.

^ I was wondering why Miyamoto didn’t add classic controller support and then someone at work reminded me about the classic controller not being able to use the tilt platforms. Can’t really map that to a button but eh it’s a small thing.

If you haven’t bought a charger yet for any of your wiimotes get the Energizer Wii Induction Charger. I got this for free from work…it’s pretty fuckin awesome. I’m not entirely sure of the inner workings of it but it has magnets and charges through the plastic on the back of the wimote. You don’t have to take off the wiimotion plus or the wii glove to charge it either. This thing also has a failsafe on it to prevent your batteries from over charging.

Holy Hell…we’ve sold out of NSMB 3 times and there’s gamestops all around my area that are sold out.

I wouldn’t get my hopes up on Phoenix appearing…but this is definitely something interesting.

Oh my God. I would give Capcom the entirety of my measly bank account to have Phoenix Wright appear as a playable character in TvC. He should have been in the game from the beginning, IMO. What’s more awesome than a fighting defense attorney? NOTHING.

He’d just block.

Capcom’s 2010 Lineup Suffers Delays:

a lot of capcom’s big stuff got pushed back…including SSFIV, Monster Hunter 3 and Lost Planet 2. Don’t worry panda…it’ll be ok.

It seems to me those games could come out at any time during that fiscal period, which may mean SSFIV and others stay on track (or very close to) what was originally said to be their release dates.

Looks hot! I’m not a fan of the look of the lines that will dictate how the character slashes.

It’s too bad Trauma Team won’t have online multi. I’d consider that a MUST HAVE if it did. Since I already have Second Opinion, I’m not as excited about the single player stuff. I always wanted to try the co-op of New Blood, but without online, that isn’t very feasible.

^ yay hacking off limbs!

I wonder how Trauma Team multi would work…maybe you’d have the second player handing stuff…like the tools to disarm an atom bomb.

I can’t be the only one who constantly thinks they’re seeing Spike from Cowboy Bebop as one of the characters. If it was really him that’d be entertaining.

Dead Space Extraction Post Mortem Interview:

IGN: so what does EA think about the sales of this game?
Visceral Games: …They’re happy…
IGN: Soooo…is it a su-
Visceral: NEXT QUESTION!

It’s too bad they won’t let people know exactly how sales went…I need to finish that game. Porting the original Dead Space on the Wii? hmmmm…maaaaybe…just so long as they don’t pull a Dead Rising. Personally I’d prefer a more original story than a port…that wa it doesn’t have to live directly in the ps3/360 version’s shadow.

Oh Shit, Castlevania ReBirth!!!

Now this is how you end DA TWO DOUBLE OH NINA!!!

If you love OG Castlevania then you’ll love this. No remix of Battle of the Holy but its still goodness.

We finally beat New Super Mario Bros Wii, had so much fun playing that game. Now I need to go back through and unlock the secret world stuff.

At first 2 players was making the game harder but once we got our Mario skills back 2 players was actually a benefit…4 players must be pure chaos.

I think this game got the motion controls down perfectly, just a small addition to the core gameplay so it was a nice bonus instead of the main focus. Very slick.

…oh yeah, and I got a copy of Mad World I need to open up.
:chainsaw:

I loved Mad World. I wouldn’t mind hearing your thoughts on it.

I don’t really like the engine to be honest, it’s too stiff and like Sep said, it feels a bit slidey. Also the motion controls are anoying as hell when all you want to do is pick something up, I really don’t get what’s wrong with 1 for that purpose. The game’s still fun, but as far as game engine goes, it still doesn’t beat SMW in my opinion.

Opens Lunar Magic

CV Rebirth? Hell yeah! Just the update I was waiting for.
Gonna be playing that tonight XD.

So I got The Crystal Bearers as one of my gifts this year, and I think the game is awesome. I got about 4 hours into it, but so far it’s been damn fun. I really like Layle as a character, his powers and personality put him on a badass tier that few FF characters match, dude’s a beast.

Also got New Super Mario Bros. Wii, no wonder that game is kicking so much ass in Japan right now. It’s like SMB arcade, SMB3, and SMW 1 and 2 mixed into one uber title. Co-op main game = amazingly good.

^ So you’re digging Crystal Bearers eh? That’s nice to hear. It’d really suck ass if SE put 4 years worth of work into that game and nobody digs it. Did anyone else play this game yet?

Also NSMB Wii is really selling surprisingly fast…We’re sold out of this game AGAIN. I believe this makes it at least the 4th time. We sold out of Wii’s and Mario Kart Wii as well but that’s only happened once so far through the holiday season. I’m really curious to see how the numbers pan out for this month.

Crystal Bearers was cool really liked the characters and story. The fighting itself was alright but it could be too repetitive for some. At the least it?s a rent but enjoyable. It probably helped that I had no expectations what so ever like literally I thought this was an RPG until I put it in the Wii.

EA is rumored to announce a new NBA Jam, exclusively for Wii.
