Wii Thread 4.0, WEEUWEEUWEEUWEE!

^ NSMB Wii definitely could have been better if you could at least had the option to play with your friends and not random. They also need to lay off the friend codes and just stick with just Wii codes like a lot of 3rd party developers are starting to do. Putting in a Wii Code and a Friend Code is completely redundant and not user friendly even though I understand why they have the code system in place…but Wii Codes should be enough to satisfy that.

I’m fucking stuck on this puzzle in Silent Hill where I have to arrange stuff according to what this artist was drawing on his paper…and I’ve felt like i’ve tried everthing but it’s just not working out. I actually just started to chuck the swan figures in frustration lol. If anyone is playing this at the moment and actualy ended up getting this puzzle do you mind giving me some tips?

Edit:

One thing is for certain…if you’re planning on playing this game make sure you’re playing it on a decent TV…other wise some of the answers to some of the parts of this game may be a bi hard to see.

Pay attention to the shadows.

Nintendo 2010 Q1 Lineup

thanks sep

and a big ‘FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU—’ to finding out that Nintendo did push back Galaxy 2 and Other M. I can’t remember if there’s any conventions during Q1 that would be note worthy enough for a new trailer of some sorts on these games to tide over with. They better be glad they have a good 3rd party lineup this time.

side note…new colors releasing in Feb for Wiimotes. a very light blue and a very pink one. They look like cotton candy.

Any word if the Wiimote is eventually going to have motion plus built in? I know the second I buy something its gonna be announced that they’re going to merge the two.

^ As of the moment there aren’t any plans to merge the sections together unfortunately. I have a feeling they probably won’t…at least any time soon if at all.

Silent Hill is very well done and creepy as hell. Flash light is definitely the best one in any of the Wii titles yet. I’m digging what I’ve played of so far…the only biggest gripe I have so far on it is when you pop a flare to run away from the creatures, the actually flare particles and effects get in the way of the screen and I can’t see where I’m going lol. So it’s basically ‘YES…I FOUND A FLARE! FUCK…I CAN’T SEE WHERE I’M GOING!’

NSMB Wii is selling like crazy…I wasn’t expecting this at all since Nintendo first party titles generaly sell well but they just sell well over longer periods. We’ve sold out of this game twice so far.

OK well…I’m in the market for a few Wiimotes so thats good to know.

NSMB Wii is the truth…we can’t stop playing it.

smokin’ hot gamespot No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle preview

Holy hell…Some of these chases in Silent Hill are fuckin nerve racking man lol

Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands New Details revealed

so…a version of it is coming out for the wii. It’s also takin place between the first 2…don’t know how I feel about that. Ubisoft is one of the companies that hasn’t treated the wii like complete shit so there’s probably a good chance that the wii version will be good but not as good as it’s ps3/360 counterpart.

NPD Top Software through Nov. 2009:

COD:MW2 for the 360 RAPED…Wii Fit (OG Wii Fit), Mario Kart, and Pokemon are still blowing up numbers. I’m really surprised at the original Wii Fit. I would have thought everyone would have moved on to Fit Plus by now. NSMB just barely made top 10. People are still buying Wii Play? WTH

List went COD:MW2 for 360 (4.2 Mil), Wii Fit (3.5 Mil), Wii Sports Resort (2.4 Mil), Mario Kart for Wii (2.2 Mil), Wii Play (2.1 Mil), Halo 3: ODST (2 Mil), Pokemon Platinum (1.9 Mil), COD:MW2 for PS3 (1.9 Mil), Dat Madden 2010 for 360 (1.5 Mil), NSMB Wii (1.4 Mil)

Some people in the comments are claiming IGN falsified #'s or something so I’m wondering if there’s any truth to that or if it’s just Console Wars BS again.

IGN Rubik’s Puzzle Galaxy: Rush Review

8.0 It has online leaderboards too. Game looks pretty interesting and simple from some of the gameplay vids…if you happen to try it out give a verdict.

Arc Rise Fantasia - Character & Settings Trailer

Edit:

I feel kind of bad for Harry Mason just a tad…since the Nightmare sections seem to just pop up at the most inopportune times…

Harry: spots a hot lookin chick Hey baby…lemme get them digits.
HLC: winks and starts to write it down and then freezes up with the rest of the world
Harry:…sigh

Random NPC: I have some information that is of dire importance…YOU MUST LISTEN!
Harry: nods
NPC: The cake…i–freezes over
Harry: Dammit!

Harry: goes to the bathroom to take a dump and checks to see if there’s any toilet paper…there isn’t any ah…great…world freezes over ‘YOU HAVE TO BE SHITTIN ME’

I’m halfway surprised that nothing has popped up to try to scare the bejesus out of me while the phone is out. I think that could have been an awesome scare.

Silent Hill’s ending was really good. I highly reccomend picking it up if you haven’t already. I think there’s more than one ending to this game too (Right Sep?) so I may wanna play through it again.

and these were posted by ChopperMan and Switcher in the NMH2 thread. They do contain some small bit of spoilers.

There are several endings, and no one is really going to have the same game experience due to the psych profile thing. If you’ve been a fan of the series for a while, you’ll really like the UFO ending.

So… I opened up a box of shipment at work today and lo and behold FFCC: Chrystal Bearers was in there. Yeah I know big deal it’s supposed to be Street dated for Dec. 26 right? NOPE! Apparently they sneakily pushed the date up on us and it’s supposed to be in Gamestop stores at least by tomorrow. If you’re interested in grabbing this game check a GS nearby to see if they got a shipment early.

Anime goodness.

What what? Crystal Bearers is gonna be out this week?

Damn holidays and having to give other people gifts.

Yeah it randomly showed up in a box today at work and I had to double check our books and realized that they suddenly pushed the date up by about a week on us. We only got 2 copies of the game with 1 being reserved and I sold the other one immediately today. I don’t know if it’s different for any of the other stores like ‘Worst Buy’ or ‘Wally World’ though. I even had to check to make sure it wasn’t street dated before I sold it and it wasn’t so it’s possible a GS near you may have it in stock.

Thanks for the heads up will check tomorrow.

Japan Numbers 12/18/09:

PS3 and PSP both beat out DSi? wow…that’s kinda surprising. Poor Go…definitely feeling unloved right now lol. I didn’t know that Tales of Graces got released over in Japan…and apparently it beasted pretty well this week.

Hardware went Wii, PS3, PSP, DSi, DSi LL, DS Lite, 360, Go, and PS2. I expect next week to be interesting with FFXIII’s sales…PS3 is basically saying ‘DON’T PAAAAHTY JUST YET!’

Software went NSMB Wii, Tales of Graces, Friend Collection (DS), COD:MW2 (PS3), Naruto Shippuden: Narutimate Accel 3 (PSP), Pokemon Gold/Silver, Phantasy Star Portable 2, Wii Fit Plus, PokePark Wii, and Gundam Vs. Gundam Next Plus (PSP)

GT FFCC: Chrystal Bearers review

7.7 complaints included some camera issues, voice acting being not as great at times (lol at some things in the video), would have liked it to be a bit longer, and more diversity for combat. They did give some praise to the story.
Software

Except for a little game called Final Fantasy XIII that just came out over there. That’s going to spike PS3 sales for a while.
