I think it was supposed to come out this week in Japan, not here.
oh…bah!
Here’s something interesting…apparently some dude name Craig Peckz who’s supposed to be in the games industry posted his resume online and and Goldeneye for the Wii popped up on it. Really kind of hard to believe since anytime anyone has asked a question about it for the Wii or Live it’s been met with a stern no. Looks like they’re gonna have to tell us no again.
Edit:
more interesting…
Capcom Brings MT Framework to Wii:
I don’t know what this could mean
I think it just means that it will be easier for Capcom to develop for multiplatform simultaneously. I can see Wii games being easily ported to PC in the future, hopefully that means that this eases 360/PS3 ports to the Wii as well.
In other news, another retro revival:

If that MT Framework thing works out like people are speculating that would be awesome. I’d welcome games like SSFIV and such to Wii as this would mean more people get to play them.
In other news, Muramasa is so ridiculously amazing. I know I’m late to the party, but I had to find a copy of the effing game. You just feel like such a badass in that game with the freedom of movement and attack combos, it’s almost like you’re playing 2D DMC.
definitely may have to pay a bit more attention to nintendo week. Pretty awesome I’ll have to put that on the front as well.
Glad you were able to find the game. I love it and I still gotta finish my hard Kisuke file.
I’d like to have hopes for MT Framework but I’ll reserve judgement.
IGN’s little article on the Goldeneye thing has a bit more incite which makes the rumor even more interesting
IGN DJ Hero Review:
9.0 like good mixes? enjoy lots of different music? Better make room for another plastic intrument. I’m pretty sure this game is pretty much identical to it’s 360/ps3 brethren besides some small graphical differences…but that really doesn’t matter with a game like this though.

Dragon Ball: RoKP also came out tonight amidst all the other bigger releases…(Tekken 6, Forza, Ratchet…etc) Nobody has reviewed this game yet and I"m still ‘eeeehhhh…’ on it.
I also got a chance to read the whole Epic Mickey article in GI while I was waiting for the midnight launch tonight. Very interesting stuff. I like Warren’s whole idea and the premise behind it and even the small bit of story on how Disney came to him about it. I dig everything for the most part and it got me pretty hyped on the potential of this game. I highly suggest if you happen to find an issue of it to read it for yourselves.
What are some good “light gun” games on the Wii? Looking to get some along with a Perfect Shot for my brother for Christmas. He liked House of the Dead 2 & 3 when he played it a friends, so I was thinking of that. Overkill looks good, though I can see the over-the-top vulgarity making it awkward to play with any family members, which might kill it for him. I’ve heard Ghost Squad is alright too. Any others out there, or any thoughts on these?
Okay so there are only 2 games I have reserved, Bayonetta for PS3 and TVC for Wii and both of them come out in January. Whenever I get my X-Mas bonus money I always pick up a new game so I want to take this opportunity to get the Legend Of Zelda Twilight Princess. Big Zelda fan and I’ve played all of the console releases of the series minus this and Wind Waker (on the handhelds I’ve only played Season and Ages, Minish will probably be next). Twilight seems more interesting to me so I want to pick that up before Wind Waker.
So here’s my question basically. If I get the Wii version of Twilight, do I have to wave the Wii Mote around? Can you use a Gamecube controller on the Wii version of Twilight? Bear in mind that I hate moving that thing around for most games and any game that gives you the option to use buttons I use that. Because if I have to use the Wii Mote than I’d rather get the Gamecube version instead.
PS I could care less about the Wii-Twilight hack. Thanks.
Oh and Final Fight 2 on the Virtual Console is dope! First time playing it. :lovin:
If you get the Wii version, you have to use the Wii Remote and Nunchuk (and Link will be right-handed; the entire game world will be mirrored). That’s not so bad, but the big problem is that you get no C Stickand therefore no camera controlwhich I found to be a big problem.
Personally, and I’m also a Zelda fan, I hated Twilight Princess and couldn’t even finish it. It feels like a step back from Wind Waker in every single way.
I’ve told everyone Overkill is the best, so its really hard to beat that. I think Dead Space Extraction is pretty, and, is probably the best looking Wii game to date. No joke.
Sep - Okay man thanks! I’m going for the Gamecube version than.
I’m still putting Wind Waker off until later. I guess I like the ‘Lord of the Ring-ish’ vibe Twilight has going for it and want to try that first. WW I’ll play right after.
^ Yeah GC version is completely fine…that’s the version I have and beat.

I loved TP (played and beat the Wii version), but you’re absolutely right. Damn near everybody that thinks TP was better than WW was just an OoT fanboy who hated the art style. Hell, the G-Dorf fight in WW alone makes it better than TP.
The two things I liked a lot better in TP though were Midna and Zelda. She was a genuinely interesting character and actually had some setup and development for her to eventually for Link; unlike Zelda who in most games (excluding the original where she’s his GF from the getgo), it just kinda happens. Zelda in that game was a fucking badass. She wasn’t a “princess” who sat there and got captured. She was a princess. She led her own troops into battle against Ganondorf. She killed folks with a fucking long sword. She had that “I don’t care, I’m a ruler” mentality like Ashe in FFXII minus the bitch assed Occuria part. I never clicked with that character like I did in TP, she was amazing, and the sad thing was in that game she was minor.

IGN Excitebike: World Rally Hands-on
original game with small changes and bells and whistles. Wheelies can now be done to run over slower racers and now when you hit racers with your rear tire when changing lanes you get a cooled down engine. Wifi Multiplayer is in along with sending your courses to others via wifi…but there are friend codes.
IGN NFS: Nitro Hands-on
Says there’s some issues but the Car customization is spot on. Also mentions that you can play the game casually and get 2-3 stars each race but it’s pretty difficult to 5 star stuff. If you’re in first you can’t get the police heat off of you and you just have to stick it out. So far it sounds pretty close to 8 material.
IGN Castevania: Rebirth Hands-on:
for the most part says it’s good and plays more like before it became metroidvania.
IGN Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter review:
6.2 He made some viable points on some of the issues he had with the game. Some solid platforming but still plenty of complaints. Load times, wii mote isn’t as precise as the stylus (mostly a given), paint tool glitch, enemies blend in with the background, and apparently the multiplayer is asstastic. Another nice concept game that may not have quite made it.

This game looks all types of awesome and that rechargeable blaster is sexy. I wonder has anyone got the OST yet.

Nintendo Minute 10.30.09
Matt asked Denise about the growing number of HD Tv’s and her response basically goes into the graphics vs. gameplay debate along with saying Wii HD doesn’t exist.
Japan Numbers:
Didn’t expect Forza to actually show up in the top 10…been a while since a 360 title was up there…especially an exclusive one. Pokemon is an unstoppable machine right now.
Hardware is mostly the same as last: Dsi, Psp, PS3, Wii, Lite, 360, Ps2. Most notable is the gap between Wii and PS3 widened by a full 4,000 units this week.
Konami Brings MSX Games to Virtua Console:
Only for japan right now…No Metal Gear or Gradius for us yet. I was also wondering if Nintendo would ever release any of the original Fire Emblems on VC and it looks like they intend to do so over in Japan for now. No news on whether they’ll make it over here either.
