Wii Thread 4.0, WEEUWEEUWEEUWEE!

It happens…wait a sec. AHEM!

‘YOU’RE TOO SLOWWWWW!!!’

I’m still on Momohime’s route. I’ve been playing on Hard (Shura) Mode from the start. Musou Mode was a little too easy, and boring. The enemies just stand there like idiots.

I’m taking my time with the story. I’m a perfectionist so I like to explore every nook and cranny of every area.

Currently in Hell at Lv. 50-Something. I can’t remember what act that was.

It could be just me but the Lair Challenges are fuckin’ hard on Shura Mode, even at Lv.40-50.

There was this one challenge where I had to face 100 ninja, I think 10 at a time. The game said that the recommended level was 9. WTF?! I’m guessing that they meant Lv.9 for Musou Mode, 'cause at 40-50 it was still kinda hard for me.

Current best combo count is 200-something.

Is Pokmon Battle Revolution basically the Pokmon Stadium of Diamond/Pearl/Platinum?

My friend and I have a sudden new interest in Pokmon and are getting the new DS games (with a transition from the G/S/C Generation.)

I suppose you could say that…but I haven’t really heard anything good from that game but I suppose if you’re a pokemon fan it doesn’t really matter.

Yeah, after reading about it, it seems to be completely optional.

After listening to a few of those Muramasa tracks, It has piqued my interest more about the game.
I will get to see it for myself tomorrow, and maybe I’ll get to play.

Clay Figher 63 1/3

Fuck yeah.

wow…uh that’s surprising I’ll update the front with that lol.

LMFAO…I was not expecting that…

You, Me & The Cubes Preview:

This is Kenji Eno’s game. Sounds interesting but I’m a bit confused about it. It’s coming out Monday.

And Yet It Moves Preview:

just glosses over what to expect from the game if you didn’t know already

IGN Dirt 2 review:

4.0 wow…Bozon was pretty harsh on it. Well I guess racing fans with a Wii will just have to get NFS Nitro. How’d they mess up the tilt controls?

Max & the Magic Marker Preview:

This game is almost like Scribblenauts…except you don’t write in the words you draw in stuff to solve puzzles and do some platforming. Listen to this example:

Zombie Panic in Wonderland:

Where the heck are these Wii Ware titles coming from!? This game comes out in the UK this Ded but there isn’t any word on an American release yet. Sounds pretty cool though.

IGN Need for Speed Nitro Hands - Career Mode

Still 60 frames a sec and 4 people can join in but the moment they do it drops to 30 frames. It really sucks that they didn’t put online racing in because I think that’s really going to hurt sales on this if it’s really good.

NFS Nitro - Customization Walkthrough

I can see some potential in the customization if there’s ever a sequal. Reaaaally sucks that this doesn’t have online.

NFS Nitro - Nitrous Gameplay

Castlevania: The Adventure ReBirth is gonna be the shiznit!!! That game was so great on the Game Boy and now they’re remaking it. Everybody better cop this when it comes out.

I haven’t heard shit else about Smash-Up. I will cop it and tell y’all whether to drop money on it.

Keep a eye out for Spyborgs. That game is bringing the old school back in a good way of course. This comes out the same day that Smash-Up does and I’ll be getting that as well. Expect me to say good things about the game unless it sucks.

Also the Dragon Ball: Revenge of King Piccolo is a buy for all the fans of the series. The game is like a Wii version of Advanced Adventure for the GBA. That is a good thing by the way. It’s been out for a while in Japan so if you’re curious look up some YouTube vids about it and see if you like it.

P.S: Oregon MUTHAFUCKIN Trail for WiiWare is the WIN!!! Too bad they’re about a year late on the shit. I love the Wii!!!

I watched vids of the GBA Dragonball game and it was pretty awesome. Have you played RoKP? And yeah Rexx I look forward to hearing your verdict on Spyborgs and TMNT. They’re both kinda shaky right now IMO…I just want them to fix the double team moves is that so hard? lol

I was going to import RoKP but as soon as that happened the US version was announced so I scratched that plan. But I’ve watched a lot of vids and I’m impressed on how the game is handled. It’s kinda what you want from a Z game but it would never fucking work the way you’d think it would. RoKP is another game I’m just gonna take the plunge on good or bad. Anything to curb the Wii wait for NMH2.

As far as TMNT goes, I’m just praying that they don’t fuck it up. I’m still a tad bitter about Re-Shelled though. Even though it was decent to me anyway. With a game like Smash-Up it would seem so simple to get something like that right but I still have my reservations about it. Fortunately for me I love TMNT more so I just gotta believe it will be crack.

Capcom said that Spyborgs is a Next-Gen Final Fight. That was all that needed to be said about that to get me hype. It looks great but I’m just worried that the controls will suck major ass though. I’ve been in the mood to be proven wrong lately and I hope with Spyborgs that this is the case.

I mentioned this in the DS thread but if You’re a TMNT fan and you were a bit bitter about Reshelled then you may want to look into a TMNT game coming out on the DS. It’s an arcade brawler and it’s going to have air juggles and what not in it. It sounds pretty promising but there hasn’t been any gameplay up of it yet.

I’ll have to remember to look up some gameplay vids on youtube of RoKP.

Edit:

As long as the game isn’t another Sagas then it should be ok I believe. DB and beatemups should work quite easily.

Edit 2:

I’m going to add an ‘in theory’ to my words after lookinat some good gameplay. The guy who was playing it was making it look pretty easy and at this point I can easily see it being called repetitive but such is the life of a beat em up right? At this stage I’m at like ‘I da knoooooowwww…’ for now. If they give Goku some stuff to upgrade and some new attacks to upgrade with then any fears I have will be put to rest.

Just got House of the Dead: Overkill in the mail today. Unfortunately, SEGA and Headstrong games have forbidden me to comment on the game until I have beaten overkill mode. Seriously guys, it’s in the manual :xeye:.

I also received the Nyko Perfect Shot that I bought with it. I can comment on that. It’s pretty good. It’s nice and hefty as well. I think I’ll look into picking up House of the Dead 2 and 3 Return for more light gun action.

Gonna go get Muramasa tomorrow (it’s my day off). Between that, Fallout 3 and Aion, almost all my consoles will be getting a lot of play time in the next few weeks.

Remember that Limited Edition of Naruto I mentioned?

Basically get the Naruto Shippuden movie with it and end up shaving about 15 dollars off if you were to buy them separately at 49.99. And we’re (Gamestop) giving Sasori rings to people who preorder the game.

Edit:

Oh yeah forgot…Namco Bandai put up their TGS line up

mostly consists of DS and PSP but Tales of Graces will be there along with Super Robot Taisen Neo

I just got a wii yesterday(bought it from my cousin).

What games are must haves and what games should I avoid?

We have a list in the first post of the thread that I’m keeping up to date.

http://forums.shoryuken.com/showpost.php?p=6783362&postcount=1

IMO the top 5 cream of the crop for the system are Smash Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime Trilogy, Mario Kart, and Twilight Princess. If you’ve been sipping on some of SRK’s haterade for Brawl though it can be easily subbed out by No More Heroes, Muramasa or what have you depending upon what your tastes are.

Edit:

Red Steel 2 - Payne Trailer
http://wii.ign.com/dor/objects/867131/red-steel-project-untitled-sequel/videos/RS2_Trailer_Payne_Tokyo_UK.html

All right thanks. I was already gonna get Prime Trilogy, Galaxy, Kart and Twilight.
I was wondering how is Animal Crossing to anyone who has played it?

I played it and I dug it. It was my first time playing an Animal Crossing title as I missed the Gamecube and DS boat. From what I’ve heard it’s not too different besides a few things from it’s other counter parts but I went into another person’s town and she helped me get some fruit I didn’t have. Game is pretty fun IMO plus if you have the game on the DS you can port your character back and forth. I knew I wasn’t going to have enough time for something as demanding as that game but I wanted to experience it at least once. I’m pretty sure my town is in shambles right now since I haven’t been back in months.

Best Buy was selling that Smash-Up early so I copped it. Expect me to say something about it tomorrow seeing as I’m tired as fuck right now. I’ve read some things and I better start knocking on wood. I STILL BELIEVE!!!
