I think Conduit does not look that good, which is annoying because the engine is obviously good. It’s like they have one good artist(as some things look great, like that ball he uses), and the rest of the artists are beginners. But that is to be expected with a small, new developer of course.
I thought they might have at least given the game controls with the Wiimote/nunchuk at least for this. I’m assuming that one might have to use the classic remote/GC remote? I was at least expecting a little bit of the game to be redone to some extent. This was my favorite game on the GC, and it looks to be a direct port. In any case, it doesn’t look to be any different from when RE2 and RE3 were directly ported over to the GC and didn’t have any graphic improvements.
I can deal without graphic improvements if A) new controls are implemented to the ‘tank’ style of play or B) there are some added scenes/areas to the game
I might pick this up, but pending the newer features, I’m not exactly sure it’s worth it or not even with a cheap price tag.
So I got an HD Component cable/wire for my Wii, set the Screen Options to 480p but uh…I ain’t feeling the HD much…
ATM I am playing-
Punch Out
Super Paper Mario
On and off-
Mario Party 8 (with bros and relatives)
Smash Bros. Brawl (I hate how long it takes to unlock characters =()
These guys aren’t really that new. Their track record has been hit or miss. checks…yyeah ok more miss than hit
Mostly because they’ve been doing liscenced games…like White Men Can’t Jump. Wow I didn’t even know a game existed for that. Taking into consideration what these guys have done and what they’re doing/going to do now I’d say they’ve started to kick it up a notch here. They said they’ve already improved on the Quantum 3 engine and for their first shot at a Wii title they’ve successfully done better than 80 percent of the bullshit that’s been shoveled onto this sysem.
I have the component cables as well and it only makes the graphics look slightly better but it’s not gonna be too noticable most of the time. I’d rather have the games look as sharp as possible myself.
There’s basically hate in all of GT’s comments section…for basically every game reviewed.
MPT is automatically a buy 3 games for 1. EPIC.
Conduit is pretty awesome, and online is mad fun. I like the Capture the ASE game, was playing for like an hour just now. Only wish for Conduit was more unique weapons (aka Perfect Dark style stuff like X-Ray rifles and pinball grenades).
put your FC up so we can run into each other online.

whoever edited this video fails. Just skip to about 1:42. I’m reeeally gonna hate having to deal with someone magically reappearing behind me if I break eye sight from them for a hot second…4:55.

I’m wondering if putting Robert Rodriguez influence in your game is going to be a trend in the same vein as suddenly Parkour has shown up.

very nicely done video both showing how he’s doing the stuff in real time and what’s going on the screen at the same time. Anytime I see that plane part of this game I’m always thinking about either Starfox or Pilotwings.
Edit:
Oh yeah almost forgot…TMNT:Smash-Up showed up in our computers as coming out on both the Wii and the PS2 now. I haven’t heard anything else official on it but I’m a bit surprised if this is true since I thought they wanted to duke it out with Smash.
Ok im going to make a thread for the Conduit on the Wii online section. Hopefully ppl post.
Heres thread: http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=196506
Set the sharpness level on your TV all the way down. I was suggested to do this, and it helps. The Jaggies aren’t so horrible now,
Hmm I’ll give it a try, our HDTV is a 42 inch Phillips…something.
Gonna buy Super Mario Galaxy and Zack and Wiki later on when I can afford them.
There was a package for Wii Play with a Free Wiimote (no analog stick), wonder if I should get it…
meh…I’ve heard most of the games on Wii Play were meh but it’s just 10 dollars technically so I suppose you get what you pay for…I don’t know if anyone has a different opinion on it who’s actually played it.

DS games are beasting…
and hardware remains the same DSi, Psp, Wii, Ps3, 360, Lite, Ps2
Apparently the 1-2 punch of Wii Resort then Dragon Quest IX will come out over there so more than likely this is going to shift some come next time.
The primary reason for buying Wii Play is for another Wiimote… I got lucky and bought a returned Wii Play in Christmas 2007, customer returned the game/remote with a nunchuk… I said nothing but bought it later that day!

VC/WW Monday (6/29)
WiiWare
Water Warfare
Reel Fishing Challenge
Silver Star Reversi
Virtual Console
SMS - Fantasy Zone II - The Tears of Opa-Opa
Side note: Been trying out the japanese version of Wii Sports Resort and its really fun. There are some games in there that are mediocre, but some games are surprisingly fun. Like frisbee (fetch). I thought it seemed incredibly lame on video, but its a lot of fun. I have a feeling that they’re testing out some mechanics with these mini games to put into future games. Frisbee is a sure fire bet for a wii nintendogs, and the sword play is probably testing the waters for m+ zelda.
so is the conduit worth getting?
IMO it’s the best FPS that the wii has going for it currently. Online is solid and Controls are the best especially in terms of customizing it. If you own another system and play fps on those systems then this game isn’t going to wow you but I believe the controls are better.
Someone else give a second opinion.
In my opinion, buy The Conduit. I absolutely love the level of control, and online is effing fun. Furthermore, more support for guys like HVS means more games that aren’t shovelware. And that’s good.
So yeah, buy it.
