I just saw Hajime no Ippo, and that alone blew me away
Greatest inspirational work of all time.
Aside from being Wii-ly old in the news front(God man, where were you? =p), I’m still psyched about this game. I just have to learn how to not suck with the Wii-mote. It’s probably the sexiest looking Ippo game to date. Ricardo Martinez will own your soul.

you guys need to check wii thread more often.
I havent played wii boxing but I’ve heard its suposed to be similar to Hajime No Ippo (control wise). Even though I’m a fitness freak, i’m a lazy gamer. having to wave my arms about and what not doesnt appeal to me. im also not fond of the the first person view.

Exactly. So long as I can do the Dempsey Roll then I’ll enjoy this game. I still need to play Victorious Boxers 2. I bought the game but haven’t even opened it yet.
The graphics on it look fucking sick, so far. Now all it needs to do is play fucking awesome, and I think they’ve sold me a Wii.
The game’s apparently being translated and brought over here by a company called Xseed, it’s supposed to be due out in September/October. If so, I’m definitely getting a wii just for this game.
I played it, it’s not very good.

Victorious Boxers 2 seriously sucks.
I wouldn’t say sucks, I mean I like the story mode and what not, but It gets fucking annoying when playing against people and all they do is fucking spam slow battle, and low uppers FTW.

VB2 is decent, no more. The wii game looks very promising but I’m waiting to test it out before giving my verdict
If this game is decent I think it would make a fun tourney game.
If he is, he’s an unlockable, but I only played that game for a little bit before losing interest, anyway.
Also, Kobashi is another tight character that also doesn’t get much love in the series.
Yeah, Kimura’s an unlockable. Both versions of him are in the game (regular and the one with Dragon Fish Blow).
I like Aoki, personally. So much fun to use. His left is amazing.
