Wichita, KS: Pass the salt please, we are in there

Last time I was over you place, I left a little camera behind. It’s how I keep track of things. Andy was hosting tonight? I didn’t get a text, although I wouldn’t have been able to have gone, I hate doing things in Flash.

Who do you play with?

Camera eh…

I play with Ryougi mostly, although I’ve been trying to pick up Aoko and Arcuied as replacements. Starting to lean toward Arcuied though. I didn’t know you played mbaa?

I don’t really “play” it, I had a copy of Act Cadenza for the PS2 and I just screwed around with it until my swap disc exploded. I messed around a little with Sion and Shiki, but never got even a hint of skill at it.

Odd. Sion is top tier in this game, you should pick it up again lol. It even plays like GG, so it can’t be too terribly hard to get good at!

And lol at your swap disk exploding – didn’t know they did that!

Welp, I’m heading over to Andy’s now. If you wanna swing by, feel free to.

Is she really? Wow, lol. I didn’t know much about it at the time, I was lurking hardcore and happened to come across it. That’s why I’ve been asking you if there’s a PC version for it, lol, I don’t have a means to play it on PS2.

Yea, through a freak accident I dropped my PS2 controller off my bed and onto the disc, the handle of the PS2 controller hit exactly in that little circle thing, and then spider webbed a bit of the disk to where it wouldn’t read properly.

EDIT: Nope, I can’t do it tonight, I’m trying to finish up some crap in Flash so I have something for school tomorrow.

Yerp, V Sion is a beast, especially in half moon. Unbelievably basic and does tons of damage for no apparent reason. Oh the joys of being a loli vampire!

Lol, nice. I’ll take a look at a FAQ or something when I get the chance. You are playing it on your PS3 or PS2?

PS2 only. There’s supposed to be a PC port somewhere, but it hasn’t happened yet. Until then the only other option is to emulate PS2 on your comp, which Andy says is pretty difficult unless you have a blazing computer (like the ones at NASA or something I figure).

Yea, been there done that on the PS2 computer emulation, turned out shitty. My friend was saying something about PS3 possibly getting the backwards compatibility back? Since it’s already region-free, will it play import PS2 games then?

Lol, no. Not a single PS3 will ever be backwards compatible, according to the head at Sony. Only the first-gen console has it, no other one ever shall. Maybe PSPgo, since it has downloadable-ability, but until someone is able to hack it…

Awww, what a bummer. That’s okay, I guess. Guess I should get a job instead of trying to be so cheap!

But when you’re cheap, cool things happen, like 3 different cords from one controller.

Pfft gimme a break on the cords already! Wireless is the way of the future, yo!

They’re going to sell PS2 games on PSN.

Haha! But you have cords yourself!

Jon: Maybe that’s what I heard, but I guess I interpreted wrong. I was thinking along the lines of “In order to sell them, wouldn’t they have to be emulated some sort of way to work on the hardware?”

True, but so far as playing old PS2 disks on your PS3, not going to happen. So for people who already have a library of PS2 games and were hoping to play it on there, no dice. And not only that, but old PS2 games at the PSN store are at a set price which is usually higher than shopping around online or at game retailers. Same goes for Wii games that are on sale online.

Kotaku had a story where they did a search for prices for PSPgo games, and the result was that the online store was always more expensive.

DLC is the way of the future…

I will stay old school for as long as I can, give me cords and I’m a happy camper (until wireless becomes just as fast as wired).

also, is this how you play tekken?

Daaaaaamn that’s gonna hella suck! As long as they offer them at a somewhat competitive price, I don’t really have a problem with it.

Just a random question, do either of you have videos of yourselves in tournaments?

EDIT: WOW nice video!

lol Jon, I sure hope not! Did you get that video off of versuscity?

I remember back in the day I used to tell people who button mashed that the harder they mashed, the more likely they would win. And whenever they lost, I’d just tell them, “Man, I guess you didn’t mash hard enough. You almost got me there.”

DeeJay: I don’t think I have any matchvids of myself anywhere. I’m not special enough, lol.

I’m pretty scrubby and I don’t even mash that damn hard.

Peter, you realize that you could be solely responsible for any breakage at Aladdin’s Castle!? Haha, nah, I’m kidding, that’s pretty funny.

I’ve searched high and low to see if I randomly made it into someones BB video, but nope, shot in the dark. It’s probably a good feeling though. “Hey, I’m on YouTube in a match video!”
