Why you should play Persona 4 Arena:

No Ulala, no moolah.

Shame they just don’t want my money over here in Europe… Oh Atlus why do you hate europeans.

Got my copy yesterday. Really liking the game so far.

Very jelly.

Definitely feeling good about owning a NTSC-J 360

I want to play this game but I’m European -_-. I’m getting really tired of sf4 and sfxt is shit so I’m getting desperate here…

At least you have an excuse. I’m literally within walking distance (a long walk mind you, but I’ve made it), or a bus trip, to getting the game when it comes out and I have a bus ticket in the hole. The problem is, I is broke :’(

You won’t be disappointed. I mostly played Street Fighter type of stuff. Couldn’t get into Blazblue. I can definitely get into this game. It’s amazing, easy to learn, flashy, sounds good, clean sprites, and a huge fan base for the series so you shouldn’t feel like you’re paying $60 to play game where 20 people are gonna end up playing it nation wide.

A lot more 720p videos popping up online to show off the quality of design Atlus X ASW took in polishing this game.

Ah good. I feel FGs suck lately and I’m having a hard time motivating myself to bother playing them at all. If this game flops I might just quit FGs until SF5 =/

Why don’t you play the older ones?

I only play 2d FGs that have good netcode and are relevant/have a big following. Why bother trying to get good at something that no one cares about? I’ve been playing SF4 just because of this.

Okay, so you’ll never play a FG again. Oh well.

If marvel and kof wouldn’t be pure shit online I would perhaps play those. I only got netplay so that’s obviously very important. 3s OE, VF5, hdr and SG are hardly relevant games so why bother putting any effort. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one that feels this way.

I share that sentiment. I’ll play it if there are enough people in it. The port of social media can give P4U a great American launch.

Sales are high in Japan for the first week.

118k on PlayStation and clears throat 9k on Xbox.

Anyway, this game is serious. After trying it out, I’m sold. And I’ve only been playing capcom games with most of my time because learning and playing then is comfortable

THIS game is like that out off the box. Ice played plenty of super turbo back when I was younger. Skipped alpha series and sf 3. Then sf4 comes it and its like playing st again on the surface before you learn about how to do the complex stuff. The learning curve for P4U isn’t rough at all. Like learning a new card game and its rules.

And that’s the problem with players now a days. It’s not enough to have people to play with, the game has to be “relevant”. If it’s not getting the stream time or hype, why bother? Honestly, that view, to me, is fucking pathetic. We finally have avenues to play most of our favorite games in decent outlets (GGPO or whatever alternatives), but no one bothers because “well, the game’s not relevant so why bother playing”.

Honestly, I hate people with that fucking attitude, and I wish I had the ability to put my boot through the ass of every single person with it.

Well you go have fun playing Kof13 online or playing on GGPO with your 5 friends.

While that’s all good, what ever happen to playing games because you like them?

KOFXIII is a pass obviously. If you have the INABILITY to play something that you want, then whatever. You’re not gonna hear me say to people in the US to go back to playing KOF2k2UM (or pretty much any non-OG 98/2k2 KOF) with their terrible netcode.

It’s when you have the ability to play something that you might actually like and have a decent amount of people to play with but don’t because it’s not “relevant”. Now that’s shitty. And it’s fucking hilarious how you think only 5 people play on GGPO.

Seriously, GTFO you self entitled piece of crap. You honestly don’t deserve things like P4A when you don’t even appreciate what we already have.

Haha, you’re really making me laugh RL. Most of what you write just seems like fishing for likes tbh. “games were better before” “sfxt is shit” “balancing is bad” " support ur local arcade".

I’ll bite though. I do play games that I like but if the game is dead or is unplayable online there’s hardly any point in playing it. It takes me forever to find ppl on 3s OE & hdr to play so in spite of the games being good and having good netcodes I can’t find good connections and good competition without having to wait 10-20+ mins if I find any at all.

  1. Having a bigger player base makes the competition better and means that I can get better as a player. It’s hard to motivate yourself to sit in training room when you know the competition is weak.

  2. I might someday consider attending a big tourney and if the game is dead that won’t be possible.

This sounds great. Even though I don’t mind putting effort to get good, but I feel that a game that requires too much effort to learn in the beginning can scare off a lot of ppl.
