You know, a lot of you guys making that “They behave like this on an internet forum so I won’t associate myself with them because they must be like that in real life” claim make me sad. Some people are just dicks in forums because well, why the hell not? Yet are the nicest people in person willing to help you out when it comes to the actual game, which is the important thing.
This not only applies to SG fans but to a lot of people in general.
Judging people based on an alter-ego that may or may not be indicative of how they really are gets :tdown: :tdown:.
Now if they are like that in person then feel free to put a bullet in them and dump them in the nearest dumpster.

everyone should just shut the fuck up about “skullgirls this, skullgirls that” until the game actually makes it to the marketplace so we can buy it, play it for a week or two, see how awful it really is and go back to playing Street Fighter X Tekken

I didn’t sully my console with SFxT (I don’t plan to sully my PC either) so I won’t be doing that.

Anyway, before this got into an argument about the SG community, you guys brought up some interesting points that may have me at least downloading the demo. The Skullgirls team is doing a lot of things right, and while I swear up and down that the game looks way too anime for my tastes (and I mean anime as a collection of gameplay mechanics, not as a visual style) I suppose there’s nothing for me to lose in peeping the demo. Maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised.

Haunts on MvC3 the week it was gonna be released, ‘we’re coming up to the period between when people get the game and they realize they suck at it’, kind of a paraphrase probably, but that’s the idea. This happens with every new and underplayed game.

I don’t get why people are upset about some people ramming games down others throats on SRK, it’s not like people have went on about how good 3S/MVC2/DS/Whatever whenever they have the chance…
Those are peoples opinions on why they don’t like the game. I don’t like the art style and I wish they had male characters but, everything elese is fantastic and the game grew on me so I will be buying it. The things I like about the game outweighs the things I don’t like and honestly it took years for me to get over the art and all female cast.
That being said, any “stupid” reason a person has for not wanting to buy/play the game is good enough for them.
I didn’t buy the 2 sequals to assasins creed 2 because it felt like the same game engine with new items. Stupid reasons for not buying it? It doesn’t matter! It’s my reason for not buying them.

The community hasn’t killed my interested in the game. Hell, I already paid for my PSN card so I’m commitment already. Where the community is at this point I’m going to segregate myself from it for a while. It’s what I usually do when I’m a fan of things that have awful communities like MLP, and Team Fortress.
I’m not entirely convinced they’ll leave after getting bodied. Skullgirls has a story mode similar to Blazblue, right? If they suck at playing it they’ll likely focus their fanboyism on that. I have a few friends that only like Blazblue for it’s story and characters and not the game itself.
Good != Fun
