Why people should support Skullgirls (even if they don't quite like it..)

Okay, I know that no movelist pretty much sucks for a lot of people but people just make such a big deal about it when there are ways around it. I feel like the gameplay along with the netcode are just too good to let this flaw get to them like that.

But whatever, if no movelist is a big deal breaker to some people then I understand why.

Really? I bought HDR on my US account and remember it not showing up when I log into my jpn account but maybe I was mistaken. Well I’ll try it out on Friday. Thanks.

But wasn’t this game made by the competitive crowd for the competitive crowd? everyone should stick to it and support it

Nope. Painwheel has to attack out of fly mode; however, she can attack into a charging hatred guard move, which means her fly mode isn’t as vulnerable as you might think.

Again, it doesn’t matter if you use PSN for playing games frequently or not. The point is that some features like a movelist or online multiplayer… Oh fuck it, I already told you all this in my last post, and you clearly don’t give a shit. You don’t care about the in-game movelists or whether they will be patched and are just trolling so you can read your own messages.

No harm in that. It’s my fault that I fell for it.

So you jumped in with the “how’s that patch working out for ya’” joke without understanding why it got to that point to begin with?
Wow, you really are something.
You remind me of those guys who jump in the middle of a conversation in attempt to make a joke that made no sense, giving a very awkward tension to those all around. Why do you type of people even do that? Just remember, no one likes a person like that. Take note of that, it’ll help your social moral cause it seems like you may need it.

I would like to support it… right now!
Skullgirls for the PS3 worldwide? When?

I can’t understand why this sort of shit happens nowadays, it’s an internet release, Sony Store should allow them to sell (and me to buy) regardles of my country. I don’t care about translations to my language, i just want to buy the english game, now!

Not gunna lie, I didn’t buy it but I got the demo last night to check the hype. The custom action assist feature was literally mind-blowing, that makes for some interesting options.

Ok just got the Game off XBLA and it’s fucking broken at the moment tried to go online the game started searching for authentication.
The search bar never left even when I started to try the solo play mode stayed 2 matches in. hope there’s a patch coming I’ll try again after class

Here’s the GT review if you wanna know more about the game before buying. It got a good score, but score kinda mediocre on presentation

As per my previous post, I was quite skeptical whether I was going to like this or not, however…shit’s AMAZING.

Same here. First night I played it I was like “meh”, but after finishing all the trials it grew on me. This is a really good game.

its soooooooo much fun. Cerebella 4EVER!!1 shes a SHOWSTOPPAH!!

Is there any reason to use a team? Seems like 1v1 is what this game will be all about just from reading this thread.

You won’t think like this pretty soon.

I just need to know when the soundtrack will drop. I will pay for it.

Also why did they skip on putting the move lists in the game?

For what it’s worth, by the way, buying this game shouldn’t be viewed as some sort of “Haha, take that Capcom/Arksys/NetherRealm/whatever"evil"biggamecompany” buy; The only way you punish companies for making bad games is to NOT BUY the bad games.

Please don’t conflate “supporting good games” with “not supporting bad games”; They are two different sides of the coin. If you keep buying games you don’t like, you are sending the wrong message to the game companies. If you buy every fighting game that comes out, the only message you are sending is “I buy fighting games whether they are good or not.”

Be an informed consumer. Play the demo for Skullgirls. Find some way of finding out about other games and make your own decisions about what you like. Then ONLY buy the games that you feel are worth what they are asking. Do NOT buy a game because of who made it - whether it be Capcom, Reverge Labs, Mike Z, John Doe, Namco, or whomever. DO buy games because you have made an informed decision that they are good. If a company does not give you a good way (such as a demo) to MAKE an educated decision, DO NOT buy that game until you can get enough information to do so. Don’t worry. It won’t go away, and you won’t be meaningfully out of the loop if you make a week 2 purchase instead of a day 1 purchase.

Support good games. Be an informed consumer.

I would totally buy it if it were made by John Lennon though.

interestingly/sadly the sound specifically ended up being a game-breaker for me.

It’s not that it’s poorly done so much as just awful choices were made.

Game’s fun (for a combofest), but the assets, visual and sound, are ‘intentionally mutilate yourself so you don’t have to experience them’ bad.

hmm…I have to disagree. I think the assets are a nice package.

Yeah, he won’t shut up about the sound being “bad” and I don’t see it that way at all, but whatever.
