Hit me up when they release Skullgirls x Some Guy Fighters.
FTFY =] My bad. Forgot he was talking about SF.
Welcome to the world of Alex Ahad, everyone! =]
Improbable waist-to-hips ratios for females also included.
Firebranded, you say alot of… we’ll just call it “things”, but please don’t lump an entire community up together when not everyone does that. In fact people have spoken out against people that do that within those threads. C’mon man. There will ALWAYS be people who do that in any community though.
This is what I’m talkin’ about. This is a baseless assumption, and if anything, we know Cerebella has the tools to deal with these things, so I just… alright, I’ll just stop there. You just need to think about your posts before you confirm them sometimes x.x.
Regarding the rest of the community, they’re a good bunch of people. It may get rowdy in there, but I see alot of support and promotion from them. Fanart, blogs, launch parties (err’y day!), feedback, custom skins for PS3 (good stuff A.K.); there is quite a bit of effort being poured out into the community. People are promoting a game they feel strongly about, especially since it is not a big company, and does not have that kind of backing. I understand if some people are tired of hearing about it, but when was the last time you heard legitimate amounts of hype and passion for a game these day (aside from KoF)?
I won’t lie though, we go through a fuckton of pages fast, can’t blame people for not keeping up. Just keep an eye for actual new threads, or the QA thread if you do want to follow. GD is amusing if you are looking to kill time though .
Oh, I thought they were talking about the 8 starter characters, lol.
Zangief is just a derp.
I will give you Dudley, though.
I will definitely support them. The effect from success of their game could be similar to Capcom’s success with the fighting game genre. Despite numerous people having a huge hatred for Capcom, you have to admit that they made fighting games more popular again. This game could possibly make western developers interested in creating good games for the fighting game genre.
Improbable? Tell that to the women in my country. o_O
not so saint basically asked for an example of when GD wasn’t “perfect, warm, and friendly”. So I gave him one. Although I may post “questionable topics” you have to admit I don’t try to be rude in my posts. You guys have a tendency to turn outright horrid against people who disagree with you. ( and the way alot of you responded to dime’s post about the lack of “normal” characters in skullgirls is like crystal clear evidence of that.) But overall, you guys are pretty decent bunch and I hope your community thrives with the release of Skullgirls.
Cya around.
What, Squigly-level too? O_o
No, it doesn’t. You might be confused because many combos end in a super (Which costs meter, does not build meter, and builds meter for the opponent), but meter does not build higher for the defender. Meter doesn’t build much higher for the attacker than it builds for the defender, but it’s still more.
Yes, there certainly is a lot of ass in Skullgirls. Double has a pretty big one.

Someone corrected me earlier, saying that it only builds higher for the defender at a certain number of hits-per-combo (something like 40 hits). Does that sound right, or are you saying that meterbuilding has changed since a previous build?
I didn’t realize somebody had already addressed your comment. Sorry.
And yeah, that sounds about right.
I will. Actually the front page will first.
Well if we’re talking straight up on a sales and casual player street cred standpoint…America is doing pretty good. Mortal Kombat is respected by the casual fanbase it seems as the game that’s doing the best for what they want. If Skullgirls does well with them also then we could have a trend I guess.
xesaie is just tsundere :3
in what universe?
i thought that he was more like, i dont know, an annoying chihuahua
or maybe you were trying to say dumbdere
How about we just support it because its a damn good game…?
I don’t really care about the purported importance of the game – everything that’s new and unique seems like its important, but whether or not it will be isn’t something we’ll know until after the fact.
That aside, the game is pretty solid. I played it at Texas Showdown, and i have to say it is easily one of the best fighting games I’ve played this gaming generation.
I agree with this…
I almost didn’t play it, mostly because of how annoying its supporters are. I can say that I enjoy the game and that its amazingly fun and rewarding, but the sensationalism needs to stop.
Finally , someone who expresses direct appreciation for Ahad’s art style.
Listing characters that do not exist yet as “mains” and “secondaries” in your sig is the kind of shit people are talking about when they say how stupid the Skullgirls community is btw.
It’s like listing Karin or Sigma as your mains in SFxT or MvC3; usually a joke, sometimes a boundless obsession.
Kinda, except the chances of those characters becoming reality in Skullgirls is way way less up in the air. Character loyalty is a big thing with people in fighters so can’t blame them too much. The only thing I won’t really condone is the whole talking about their matchups. LOL.
