But it’s kinda annoying how the entire community thinks every recent fighting game is failure.
They all say “Everyone is just riding the dick of Big Name Companies! These games are complete trash! Skullgirls forevar.”
Ok, if that was the truth then NO one would be playing them. People don’t play things that are abysmally bad.
Find me a Street Fighter character that is manlier than Panzerfaust.
I don’t think you can.
@Firebranded: Everyone says that about everyone else’s games. It’s not really something that’s exclusive to the Skullgirls community (and hey I play Marvel 3).
a) that’s not true at all to any significant degree, and b) you have historically been one of the biggest problems in those forums with your random nonsense, inability to let some unsubstantiated assertion go, posting in the wrong thread, etc. I don’t think I would be playing the arbiter of reason in your position.
Dude, you guys launched an utter shitstorm when I said Squiggly could possibly be a bad matchup Cerebella.
Even though we don’t have information about Squiggly it’s assumed that she would be strong at mid-range due to the fact that she has a **long, snake weapon. ** Cerebella doesn’t look to be her strongest a mid-range **due to being a grappler. **
You’re saying I’m nonsensical? Geez. But I’m done here. I wish the best of luck to SG though.
Complaining about Master Chibi talking you down is like complaining about 100lb bully asking for your lunch money. Just gonna have to hold dat especially since he’s a mod. Welcome to 10 moar years of SRK.
You probably get talked down on for the same reason that anyone does in any forum, talking too much about stuff that doesn’t really matter.
Yeah I think the forum is really chill and obviously filled with people that are open minded because you practically have to be open minded to already be hype and posting for the game before release. Can’t wait for all the discussion and new people influx once it hits. Definitely needs it’s own main subforum with the other games.
You were arguing matchups for a character that doesn’t exist yet. The fact that you seem to think that’s not retarded makes my point way better than I ever could.
Well…I don’t think there’s anything wrong with a bit of theory talk about characters before the game is released. Of course it’s going to be mostly unfounded unless you’ve actually played. It’s just if it’s argument the Firebranded way…it’s probably like really forced and emphasized without a lot of substance where people will see it as desperate to claim match situation outcomes.
You’d be amazed how theorizing weeks in advance helped me learn SFXT Extremely fast. Hell, most of the people on SRK are still stuck behind.
But I guess it depends on the player, and how similar the game is to existing games.
Weeks in advance you at least knew a given character’s moveset. We’re talking about a character that doesn’t even have moves chosen, so far as we know, much less an actual hitbox. The hell is the point of arguing her matchups?
