Why not make Super the tournament Standard?

Ono also said AE wasn’t coming to consoles during that exact same interview…

i agree with otori on the fact the twins are no where near the derpness of vanilla sagat. and he’s also right about viper being more system breaking than the twins but yet nobody is bitching about viper other than viper players themselves.

Ono described Super as a smooth ball, and AE as a ball with a few bumps around it. He didn’t say twins were made to be broken. Again, community takes everything out of context.

not gonna happen

Dan is better in AE.
AE is the better game.

This is such a hilariously obnoxious post.

Tell Louffy to mash ultra. Lol. Who the hell are you? Some random from New York City? The only reason you’re so high on the defense force for AE is because you want to side pick Yun and Fei Long cough

Sure, tier list excuse.

edit: And very random. I’ve been playing AE at Chinatown Fair/Next level for a couple of months now.

I don’t care. Are you better than Louffy? Shut the fuck up.

Sure, now you have to curse because you’re too dumb to contribute to discussion.

You can’t throw out non-banned characters and call a game more balanced.

To say your prior posts are a “discussion” is a compliment you don’t deserve.

I don’t need validation from people who scrutinize tiny details and cry about it as gospel.

One theory- I think SF4 AE was released intentionally unbalanced to kill the SF4 competitive scene, so people would buy SF vs Tekken.

If AE had been balanced well, people might have stuck with that over SFxTK, especially if that game had even minor issues. Doesn’t cost Capcom much since AE was a cheapo DLC release, and they can sell some more costumes. It’s a pretty smart business move, as companies really don’t want their games being played for years, as they gotta sell new games.

I’ve read people saying they have too much advantage on their divekicks, its fucking -4 on block. What “advantage” does that leave him in? Then I read someone say that Yun’s EX Lunge needs to have some advantage taken away from it. EX Lunge is only +1 on block. That isn’t even enough frame advantage to set anything good up with the twins. Lets also consider how telegraphed ALL of Yun’s lunges are before he does them. If you can’t react to an EX Lunge with a reversal of some kind, then your issue isn’t with Yun. Then I read that he needs a damage nerf, Yun doesn’t do massive damage to begin with. If your health bar is disappearing quickly when you’re fighting Yun, then you need to stop fucking getting hit and learn to block. Yun’s damage is laughable, he has no footsies to speak of, his divekick is throw/spd/DP punishable on block and on hit it doesn’t even leave him in enough advantage to combo after it lands unless it hits below your characters waist line. MK and HK divekicks are both useless for cross up because they have to hit too high to combo from, and it positions them too far away from you to combo after it even if they could, and again…they can’t.
This is the same way the community acted about Rufus in Street Fighter IV back in 2008, AND HE WAS/STILL IS BETTER THAN THE TWO OF THEM. You guys want an easy game where you don’t have to learn how to fight anything and enough QQ’ing will get it banned? Go play smash.

jojos was balanced

Yet, we should listen to your words as gospel.

I await to see SUPARNOVAX, with a defensive character, as the winner of the next AE guard crush tournament showing all us casual players that his words are true.

You don’t need to win any type of tournament to make a point in this discussion, even if you ignore just how stupid this discussion is.

Commenting on a released product (AE on arcade) is allowed.
Commenting on a possible unannounced future product (AE on console) is heavily prohibited.
This is just company policy rather than “trolling”.

Gonna break some stuff down.

It is possible to get + frames on a blocked divekick. If you could guaranteed dp/throw every single one they would have little if any utility. -4 refers to a very specific time in the jump. Due to the very nature of jumpins they have a wide variety of possible frame situations.

Yun has a 3 frame jab, a very invincible move, a throw invincible command grab, and a divekick, how are all of these not options that are viable at +1? Also with EX lunge, it’s 17 frames. Thats as fast/faster than every overhead in the game i believe other than Dudley’s, and I’m sure you see everyone dp every overhead on reaction? if you are looking for it you can key in on it and dp him, but then you aren’t worrying bout other things.17 frames is very quick. Also the point isn’t that EX lunge is plus frames, the point is the options it allows him if it actually hits, the +1 is just a bonus.

His damage is solid(can get 290ish off of a divekick with no/minimal meter). Blocking too much against him means he can command throw you. His divekicks at the correct height are not throw/spd/dp punishable on block, it’s actually possible to transition into a true block string with cr.jab from the divekick. Who cares about crossing up when you have the ability to go high/low and have a command grab with that range? You aren’t playing a left/right mixup character you are playing a hit/divekick/command grab mixup character.

Rufus wishes he was this good.

Not saying I don’t think people are whining, just saying you are full of shit, and if you are going to start throwing out numbers and frame data and maybe you should understand what those numbers mean.

Also Az, you should have known people would completely miss the point of this thread even though it is straight forward.

Keep it civil people. No personal attacks or attacks on the community. Just have your say in a decent fashion.
