Why no love for the SFI cast - the ones that started it all?

Her ending takes place after Bison’s ending but before Rose and Guy’s endings in SSF4. We can deduce that they both survived the encounter easily. Bison went on to do his thing with Rose afterwards and she hers.

We don’t know what happened between her and Bison in the time between Bison ending and hers. It was implied that they were going to fight, but neither seemed harmed at all. Bison even leaves Seth for her to finish.

I see…Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I never thought her to be like that. Interesting. But it makes sense. I think I have an idea of what she’s going to be doing during SF5.

“So it unfolds.”

I’ve always been under the opinion that Juri was a violent sexual sadist and just wanted to hurt as many people as possible. She isn’t in it for power or control but just to hurt people because that’s the only way she feels good in her tingly bits. She willingly works for the people who killed her parents with no objections.

Guess we’ll just have to wait and find out. Tune in next time on STREET FIGHTER!

Anyway, I think it’s time to put the SF1 cast to rest. Most of them don’t hold much weight anymore in terms of story. It might just piss more people off that they redesigned a SF1 character instead of making a new one…although in that sense they would be making an almost new character anyway…almost…

Why after? What’s keeping it from happening before?

They had a chance to resuscitate the likes of Retsu and Geki during the Alpha series but didn’t. It’s a bit too late now I feel. Gen, Oro and Gouken fill in for the old-wise fighter role that Retsu once had. Ibuki and Vega are superior designs to a generic ninja like Geki. Balrog > Mike.

Eagle is the only one that has serious potential and is still unique among the cast.

Eagle is victor sullivan in disguise.

Put another way: anything besides the fact that Ryan’s video puts it after?

There is a hole in Seth’s abdomen when Juri is done with him. That hole is absent in Bison’s ending. Therefore it is likely that Juri finished off Seth AFTER Bison’s ending. You would do yourself favors if you reexamine the endings yourself instead of just assuming that I or Ryan even are talking out of our asses.

There you go; now you say ‘likely.’ Previously you posted like it was a certainty, but it isn’t. That’s all.

In other words, you have nothing to say.

Of course not. I was just asking some questions. I wouldn’t have if you had mentioned that extra word in the first place.

Way to derail my thread, folks!

Don’t turn this into yet another Juri thread. Fuck Juri.

Gomen.

Honestly though, it would take someone on CJ’s team like Bengus to really bring the public’s attention and interest back to the SF1 cast. He was largely responsible for pushing them back into any considered radar with his new art during the transition in the mid-90’s from SSF2X into the Zero series.

That’s sounds quite difficult to accomplish. Just sayin’.

I would at least like to see Retsu make a return. Perhaps with references to Gouken and even Goutetsu. I really like the ties Street Fighter characters have among them. And I hate it when the story of a character lacks some depth. The entire SF3 cast, for example, save Gill, Oro, Alex (and maybe Urien) is lost to me in terms of character depth due to their non-existant ties to the other characters before them and their shallow stories. That’s why the Alpha arc (especially 3) is my favorite in the entire series: They are story-driven. SF4 comes next. And I can see they’re at least trying to make story a priority by bringing back Charlie, having him develop new moves, (possibly) connecting him to Bison and what not. So, I thought if an old veteran from SF1 could make a return, it would be in this game.

I hate to say it but I think for how long ago SF1 was, the only SF1 vets that have any chance of making it into 5 are Ken and Sagat.

Guess that means old man Gen finally died (lukenmina>Gen) and Adon is off perfecting his skills to defeat sagat and gain the satusi no hado for himself.
