Each game has a budget and a finite amount of time allocated for the project. I don’t have a problem with SF4’s music. If it’s something you don’t care for, simply turn the audio off and run your own custom tracks off of your game system.
Or do what I do: Don’t play the fucking game in the first place.
But that’s a different story.
i have to say that i lol’ed
Honestly, I enjoy the new tracks in Street Fighter IV more than any other Street Fighter game (save for Street Fighter II, of course). I believe the best music came from Marvel vs Capcom, which had some awesome character themes and an epic opening song.
Marvel vs Capcom 2, on the other hand, has jazzy music that really doesn’t fit the fighting game genre at all. It would be much better than the first if the music was as good as the first.
The best osts were the ones from nes days. Ducktales, Rescue Rangers, TLM…hell, all their disney games, Sf 2010, Gargoyle’s Quest and the first 3 megaman games were owning music-wise.
don’t forget battletoads, TMNT, and SMB3
Um…I was listing Capcom games…
need more CPS1 style music
I think MVC3 music is pretty good,Spider-Man’s theme is a pretty good remix.
Someone already mentioned why the music sucks. The lack of melody.
On that note. Here’s a track from the new Mortal Kombat and I’m kind of digging it. Suits the atmosphere of the game and the twisted nature of the person it’s representing.

pretty much. I prefer the OG music a lot more.

I prefer the grittiness of the .
There is this theme that goes with the gameplay if you mess up fighting S.Dio you die.

both are equally great to my ears
my major gripe with the majority of the music of capcom is that they always fell to relegated to the background, i know that they are BGM but common they can put more soul (not the genere) into it, its like the music its done only to be running on the back and not to be a part of the char / stage

You didn’t forget any of those songs.
ugh…
pop music = easy access
video game music in the past needed more thought put behind it. unfortunately technology today allows for crystal clear sounds which means whatever music they make it will fit into a genre, which is the safest genre? pop music.
and that’s about it
I’ll raise

the only capcom soundtrack I’ve ever enjoyed was sfII, I believe is the only character driven music capcom has ever produced
