yeah fans were pissed off about Kazuya and they’re fighting to get Jun back (I don’t know why)
I just imagined Kazuya vs Akuma would make more sense… Kazuya would destroy Ryu. Then again so could Akuma, Gouken, and Oro but hey, that’s storyline bs.
Makes more sense now though.
Don’t worry about Jin, it seems he’ll be the main guy for Tekken in TxSF wher his Devil version feuds with Evil Ryu.
Tekken originally was heavily influenced by SF design wise.
Kazuya was originally situated as the Ryu of the series, straight down to the hurricane kick, dragon punch, white, simple attire with black belt, red gloves, and arm crossing win pose.
Then you had his rival, an obnoxious American with blonde hair and a red gi named Ke- er Paul.
Then you have the giant Russian with a mohawk, cossack kicks, and a repertoire of wrestling moves named Zangi- er Jack.
(Pus, you had some of Guile genes mixed somewhere in between Paul and Jack.)
So, for SFxT it makes sense that they would want to focus on Tekken’s earlier days, when it was more clearly SF-influenced…back when Kazuya was the undisputed main character.
But he (the voice actor) IS DEAD! :<
Kazuya is the main character of tekken. Namco just hasn’t made a competent story for 2 entries. This goes for Soul Calibur aswell. So I can see where you may be confused. Make no mistake though I’m sure everyones favorite emo fighter boy will weasel his way in somehow (enen though I’m hoping not). As for Lars appearing I’m not to sure he’s pretty busy fighting Naruto last I seen.

Seriously. Even in the gameplay clip we have, Ryu’s all “I fight to find the path!”, and Kazuya’s like “I was thrown off a cliff when i was 5.”

Poor sad Wasian Lars. I do agree that Kazuya will trash Ryu hard. Anna should be his teammate though, not Nina.
Nina is the chun of Tekken though, since the only other female debut was Michelle and she ain’t around anymore.
Pretty sure Anna was in the first game too. Both arcade and console.

Heihachi’s Non-Cannon ending in T5, he ties Jinpachi, Kazuya, & Jin to a rocket & shoots them to the moon.

Kazuya is the ryu. He’s the main character of Tekken, Heihachi would be Bison/Gouken, and Jin would be i don’t know, I don’t like Jin and never liked him.
Seriously, the time jumps have aged the original crew way too much.
