hello guys i know that alot of fighters are highly well known like Street Fighter or Tekken or Mortal Kombat… but theres one series that some people know about however theres not alot of love for it… the Darkstalkers series! i know people who want a Darkstalkers reboot myself incuded so here is my list on why there needs to be a next gen game:
it has a darker tone and like Mortal Kombat Capcom can make more of a deep back story and can be more creative than Street Fighter.
Due to the slight rise in its fanbase it would be nice to see a new kind of Capcom fighter.
a fresh and new macanics gives it new ways to be different but keep the basics form prevous Capcom fighters.
Darkstalkers 3 is one of the fastest capcom fighters around with UMVC3 being at the top and it would be nice to see a fast 1on1 fighter.

Really? Darkstalkers is like 50 years old and is only popular in Japan and one area of the US (Chicago area). Did anyone even buy the port of Darkstalkers 3 that was released on PSN/XBlive?
Please, we don’t need another Street fighter/marvel hybrid (aka an anime game). Capcom shouldn’t waste their time.
I guess darkstalkers sold like shit or couldn’t even reach half the numbers of HDremix. Capcom will never release a fighting game without ryu and friends because it will not generate sells.
They should just sell the franchise to someone that cares.
capcom was complaining the darkstalkers resurrection didn’t sell well enough even though it was top downloaded on both PSN AND XBLA so I have no idea how many sales they wanted for it. But we probably will never get a darkstalkers 4 because of it. We should work more on reviving the Vsav scene instead.
Arc System works should make the next Darkstalkers, and it should have a Guilty Gear-like gameplay but BBlike graphics. That’s the only way it could survive, not turning into a Mortal Kombat clone…
No to Darkstalkers being made like Mortal Kombat. The violence aspect of Darkstalkers is played more for laughs than anything else.
Also a big no to making Darkstalkers like Marvel or putting it in the hands of Arc Systems. Darkstalkers is all about fast-paced footsies, short combos that still do decent damage, and a ton of universal mechanics to keep matchups fluid… not about long-ass combos that turn it into a single-player game or giving characters incredible gimmicks or character-specific mechanics that keep matchups rigid.
I love Darkstalkers, but I don’t know if any company has the ability to do it justice at this point.
Well with Capcom’s recent track record, if they can’t port an existing character model from SF4 of SFxT then your SOL. They’ll get Marduk’s SFxT character model to fit on Victor somehow. With Morrigan’s proportions they’d have to activate their trap card.
Darkstalkers and apparently Rival Schools are the two games that actually have some hope of seeing a new release, albeit a small one. Maybe when Capcom has a better financial situation they could try it out. Remember, Ono had to beg Capcom to make SF4 and that franchise actually had a solid history of sales behind it, what does that say of Darkstalkers?
Serious question here, WHY does anyone want Capcom to do another Darkstalkers, besides superficial reasons that won’t equate to a game that’s actually good?
Original team is dead. Old Capcom is dead. No need for a new Darkstalkers. Darkstalkers is dead, and the last game was pretty good. No need at all for it to return.
