I have been pondering the application of canceling into aegis counter off an intentionally wiffed move, and get them when they try and punish. Now obiously this isn’t new information, but when I’m zoning a Magneto they will often just fly on over and come down at me with an attack and catch me trying to shoot an arrow. If you cancel the arrow shot with the super when the mag air dashes down though you’ll most likely catch them trying to S yah. the other setup I was thinking about is a lot riskier, but it might be useful. Baiting a punish with a intentionally blocked shield skill and when they try and punish cancel into shield skills, because you can cancel the last frames where your vulnerable into super, so yah.
If you’re part time psychic, part time flawless timing, yeah, they’re practical, but only if your opponent is caught in the air on top of that. GL Sad times on the teams.

Well its kind of a shame that the most active topic is pretty much just a conversation between a small community of players.
Then again Taskmaster is kind of a limited character so I can see why technology with Taskmaster isnt being developed very fast.Hes just really solid at everything but has hardly any depth.Hes one of those characters that will fit in any team but will never have a team built around him.

Well since this thread is about technology i wanna pose a question to fellow taskmaster users, HAS anyone figured out to utilize his command attack to guardbreak against a phoenix coming in…Its really hard to setup with my team since noone has attacks with enough guardstun, but i was thinking it maybe possible to do with dante (which if you dont have a full meter by the end of it should give you a full one to finish her with his legion arrows assuming it gains meter per hit)
Also is it possible to use taskmaster counter hyper on dark phoenix’s tranformation i heard somewhere it was a physical hit not all that sure about it tho could someone test this
You need a lockdown assist to gurantee a hit if you’re going for a meterless setup (ala ammy cold star,chun legs, dorm dark hole etc) bc you need to nullify the advance guards that the opponent is inevitably mashing on. Dacids team hyper combo unblockable (that I told him about :p) is a really good choice bc its easy to ground her with this setup, and just kill her reg phoenix or dark.
another thing all you taskys should work on your chip kill setups for phoenix, just sayin

Also, chip kills for phoenix are fucking worthless 9/10 times, because the bar required is unrealistic compared to the bar she should have by the time she dies (Most teams need 4 to chip her, so phoenix likely has 4, meaning it doesn’t matter)
Phoenix gets 60%ish of bar if she advance guards every hit of chip that it takes to kill her, so she comes in with 4 you can kill her or force an xfactor then you can lame out the xfactor, ITS USEFL I SWEARZ
I think if you ground Phoenix with Vert Arrows ( :d::df::f: + :h: ) on her entrance after snapping, you can kill her with 2 meters with Task / Dorm (Hole) assuming Dorm is :a1: from chip.
Shield Skills ( + :h:) & :a1: (calls out hole) xx Arrows ( :d::df::f: + :l: [fully charged]) then Arrows ( :d::df::f: + :l: [fully charged]) then forward dash xx Shield Skills ( + :h:) [to help counter if they advancing guard] xx Arrows ( :d::df::f: + :l: [fully charged]) .
Can get the second arrows off because hole keeps pinned
Arrows - 18,000 x 9 = 162,000
Shield Skills - 28,500 x 2 = 57,000
Hole - 6,000 x 9 = 54,000
Total = 273,000
If you tack on Legion Arrow ( :d::df::f: + :l: ) then DHC into Choatic Flame ( :d::df::f: + :atk::atk: ), I think it would kill. Note I have never tried this in a match as I’ve only done the block string mention above to finish someone off if I have them in the corner so I don’t know if it really works, but it should in theory according to the numbers.
Legion Arrow - 4,500 x 20 (assuming some miss and you DHC out not on last arrow) = 90,000
Chaotic Flame - 4,500 x 30 = 135,000
Total = 225,000
Grand Total = 498,000
