Oh for fucks sake…
I hate when people do this nonsense. Everyone doesn’t hate the MK series.
It’s true! legend has it that at SB4 Daigo had 65 streak with Ermac!!! :wow:
i was being silly you bitch. yeah mk is pretty gay, but still doesn’t mean i hate it.
I wasn’t even talking about you at all. Wonderful.
The only ones I’ve played were Trilogy, MKII, MKIV, and a little bit of MKIII for the Genesis.
They were okay, I liked my sweep kick or uppercut spam back then. Whoopsie.
I just personally think that there’s better fighters out there, I don’t really like the new MKs, granted, I haven’t played them much.
wtf, u 1 rude person. if i had som fuckn premium, i would n*g for being rude
I really liked it about 10-15 years ago when kof95 was the new thing which I absolutely hated because I was no good in it. I don’t think it lives up to my current taste.
I like MK2 and UMK3
9 hit smoke combos…ahhhhh good times!
Only reason I never got into MK was cause it seemed to be driven solely by the endless amount of gore and not much on the gameplay. Even now, the only reason why most people hate MKvsDC is cause of the T rating. I must admit though, the early MK games really had the “ouch factor” going for them. Every blow was like a haymaker, rocking the screen and spraying blood everywhere. Then you had baraka and Kung Lao with the slice and dice, and scorpian’s signature handpoon. I believe I would have liked it better if I took it more seriously.
And I’m sure someone would +rep him back because you’re retarded.
I remember every time I try to engage in a casual conversation about MK, it all comes down to “Hey, do you know how to do insert character’s Fatality? I could TOTALLY pull it out with my eyes closed, man!”
And that, in a word, resumes what I think of MK.
If I remember right, Saturday night UMK3 was more hype than the Daigo vs Justin FT10 “event” that is only on the DVD for Season’s Beatings 4. Straight up.
UMK3 = new old crack.
Sounds sexy.
I have good memories of UMK3. I bought it on XBL but have barely ever touched it again. I can only play that game on a cab, with the MK-style layout. It was so different that it just became a part of playing MK and I was never able to play it with a pad.
Will the UMK3 be on the dvd? I wouldn’t mind seeing that
I knew you’d show up here.
I used to be pretty interested in MK a while back; especially when it comes to the 2nd game. UMK3 as mentioned earlier is pretty solid - but with more exposition of better fighting games, I just forgot about it and lost interest.
It never aged particularly well, only a few games are worth playing competitively. When I play ST for example it keeps me coming back for more, I don’t get the same impressions with MK. I liked Trilogy and UMK3, that’s about it really. I know 2 gets some praise, but for me it’s the others.
UMK3 is good, MK2 and MK4 are more unbalanced than UMK3 but passable, then
MK1 - broken (I write this because of Sonya infinite)
MK3 - broken properties too, but doesnt counts since they fixed it in UMK3
MKT - broken
MKG - broken
MKDA - not broken no netplay
MKD - broken
MKSM vs mode - broken
MKA - broken
MKvsDC - broken
And we are talking about franchise that was stated as “not being a serious fighting game” by its creator. If creators dont want to make it serious/balanced/competitive, what can simple gamers like us do?
EDIT: Also, think about how MK is like the only non-japanese fighting, thats in time when arcade scene is dead everywhere by Japan, so japanese fightings get arcade releases/revisions and fix all the bugs, while every post-90’s MK game is released on consoles for first (and the last) time
NJNJA EDIT
Mortal Kombat killed my brother.
Because MK was never good.
Aside from UMK3 it was broken, stale and boring.
Just play SF2.
