Why do you play Taskmaster?

from the trailer loved him no homo and the quote “YOU ARE THE ASS KICK-EE, I AM THE ASS KlCKER” suit my play style. he steals everybody moves to make he’s better.

I was sick of losing and wanted to win, so I picked task zero and somebody with a proj assist. GG

When Lupinko leaked the list, I looked up information on Taskmaster and found his ability to be pretty awesome. I hated his classic look with a passion, though. I bought the comic where it goes into Taskmaster’s backstory and I found it pretty awesome. Then I found the Udon Taskmaster books (LOVE his design) and he instantly won me over. Unfortunately, the Taskmaster in this game is the classic one, so I didn’t want to use him at first. However, my plans of using Chun-Li and Amaterasu were put to the side since they didn’t really fit me. Grudgingly tried Taskmaster and he was the only character besides Hsien-Ko I enjoyed playing as.

when the game first came out, i asked users on another site which character they would like to see me try out.
(for the purpose of making vids)

someone mentioned that taskmaster was trash and asked why he made the game. i hadn’t heard of taskmaster in my life and said fk it…lemme prove this guy wrong.

and i did…ever since then i stuck with task. love his story and will be supporting his character all the way.

Tasky was the only one that caught my eye up when i saw the roster, his design is awesome, contrary to what was mentioned above i really like the classic hero/villain look he has, so the first thing i did when i got the game was look for it, sadly he is locked, lol so had to play with other chars to finish the game enough times and since then i’ve always used him, unless i’m playing lan with my friends, they never want to play with me if i use my mains :frowning:

You are the asskick-EE, I am the asskick-ER. nuff said

I got a lot of reasons why I use Skull Head in MvC3. Loved Tasky ever since he was going blow-for-blow with Deadpool in Marvel.

His history with other Avengers are highlighted in this game (“Long time no see, Cap!”)

He’s one of the few who’s combos I know by heart, can alter to my benefit, and who has superior balance.

Shield Skills & Mighty Swing are two of the best normals in the game, hands down. (Plus Mighty Swing is easier to pull off in a combo that Web Swing)

He’s kinda like Cap & Spidey’s best traits mixed into one.

Aim of Hawkeye is supreme at controlling space.

His counters seem to always be forgotten, and can turn the tide of a match.

He can start off the match or anchor it.

And finally, he’s a secret character that plays like one. When he’s in the fight, there are no mindless rushdowns or keepaways. He makes you think about your next move, because if it’s wrong, he’s got a counter for it, and he’ll make you pay.

…and yeah, if he gets a DLC Costume, I hope it’s Udon.

I fooled around with Taskmaster a little in player battles and found I liked the number of tools he has. Part of my team design is to have as many options as possible, and Taskmaster basically helped give me an answer to every situation. When I found out later that he has ridiculous damage, I immediately decided he was going to be a permanent member of my team.
Since that day, many a bitch have been put into a world of hoit.

I liked what I saw in the reveal trailer. I remember thinking that his Shield Charge and Spidey Swing looked amazing (I couldn’t believe they were just b./f.H when I got the game), the Aegis Counter looked rowdy, and all the pink arrows he shot around appealed to me. Basically, all the bright colors and shiny weapons impressed me. I’m apparently a lot like a preschooler.

I’m not any good at this game, because I’m always trying different characters, but one thing that remains consistent is that I ALWAYS put Taskmaster on my teams. He’s just one of the most solid characters in the game.

I just wish he had more mix-ups . . . Though his dash-in c.M is so good.

After Winter Brawl, I wanted to start moving away from Sent as I thought he’d become a liability… I needed a projectile assist that worked as well for Wesker as Sent’s did (doesnt knock down, doesnt scale my combos to shit, hits hard).

Tasky fit all 3  His sick zoning + retarded dmg didnt hurt either lol

He’s one of the only 3 characters in this game I like besides H-Ko and Cap. Seriously.

“Bravo” “Idiot” “You’re in for a world of hurt”

More important to game play, he has high health (I have him on point), unreal defensive play options (Air throw is super good) and is keep away focused which makes him an excellent scout regarding figuring out what your opponent is trying to do at the beginning of the match. That way by the time he’s died, I’ve usually seen everything the opponent can throw at me and have inflicted massive damage on them with arrows. Other reasons:

  1. Shield Skills is an excellent whiff punish that leads into a pretty damaging combo
  2. Downward arrows from the air is a great way to punish people who mash cr.:l: to try and mix you up on the ground or take advantage of lag
  3. He’s DHC Synergy is great with nearly everyone because of the multiple angles he has with Legion Arrow

Task (Up Arrows) / Dorm (Hole) / Doom (Beam)

I gravitate towards characters with good damage and stamina and taskmaster have it plus projectiles. He is just like gouken from SF4 but with the sucking at close range part.

He is a balanced, all around character, with easy combos, good damage, and really good health. He doesn’t need XF or XFC to really deal out damage. THe guy is a good and easy to pick up character.

I like him as my Primary with Sent drones and gamma charge to help him just zone and lame out.

Also he has a really cool skeletor/mum-ra like design so i like him. Also epic theme and brooklyn accent.

nothin’ to it.

I decided to use Task because of his trailer. I had no idea who he was, but his theme made him seem so epic.
I’ve been using him since day one because I just love the character and as a bonus his play style suites my tastes. I’m gonna keep him on my team no matter what, even if he gets nerfed in Ultimate.

Wasn’t a big fan of his in the comics. he was amusing, always though.
I really didn’t pay much attention to him when he came out because I was stuck trying to make MODOK work for me (lol). I just found that Tasky was a lot less of a liability and he also fit my play style, so I went along and bit the bullet. I would have stuck with MODOK if they were more even, though. Task is too good at what he does. Will most likely keep him in, even though he’s zoning patterns got severely nerfed in Ultimate. I’m guessing in an attempt to give Hawkeye use more incentive~

Taskmaster is a funny story for me.

I hated seeing Task go into the game. I thought it was a bad pick – this guy has a power set that’s kind of cheesy, I have no idea what they’ll do for his moves, blahblahblah. Dumb stuff.

Then I started running him for a comedy theme team that involved running orange Taskmaster. (the others were teal Magneto and… to be honest I don’t remember the third, think it was yellow-green X23) And I found that of this team the character I was warming to mechanically was Taskmaster.

Then I did 300 Live matches with him.

I saw his gameplay in his reveal trailer and fell in love. Plus, his voice and lines are amazing.

I pulled names out of a hat on day one and got dog, taskmaster, and spencer

I read comics and always liked the character, was excited he was added and when I saw his combo’s and how well they did the “using other people’s moves” schtick and making him his own character I was hyped. So I decided I wanted to play him before it came out, and was extremely happy he ended up being really good. I got lucky with who I wanted to play. Both Ammy and Task are great.
