What cha know bout that AWWWYOUKEN!
Thank you Tr@pzt@r. That made my day.
Does anyone understand what this means?
There’s a Seth in 3rd Strike?!
Ok, how the fu*k is Sagat a shoto? His fighting style is Mhuai Thai. Seth is not in 3rd Strike. That’s Gill. Seth is like the precursor to Gill, considering 3rd Strike takes place after SFIV. Don’t get mad at him for not including some of shotos. Maybe he didn’t unlock all the shotos. Also notice that the thread is stating that scrubs use Ryu and Ken, not any other shotos. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a scrub play as Gouken or Dan. Maybe Sakura. No offense, but you got your facts messed up.
Shouldn’t you be looking for more pics of Mai Shiranui about now?
Dang. You just got treated by an 11 year old and…however old krazykone is
That made me laugh lol. I’m stealing that expression if you don’t mind
And yeah, stop whining about shoto’s. they’re popular because they’re accessible.
What is this I don’t even.
Seth? In TS? O_o You mean Sean, right?
Also, lol about Sagat being a Shoto? Why? Because he has an uppercut and a fireball or something? Haha.
Although I agree with you about this thread being closed.
yep I was totally serious there, and maybe if you had read the fucking quote you would have gotten it.
If he’s talking about Sean, he’s really not just a head swap. He’s got that basketball, and a shitload of other tatics different from other shotos. sigh This alex guy must not play much SF. And he’s got an 11 year old teaching him SF facts. Wow…
Naw, I’m not mad. Its just something that runs through our family. Any time someone screws up, we either correct 'em or prove them wrong.
I could beat your dad up as well as all of your uncles, brothers and cousins.
The OP is mad salty…
And that matters why? And whats an OP?
Opening Post(er), depending on context.
Also, kid, lay off your high-and-mighty attitude, it might break your neck sometime. Just an advice, I’ve experienced it myself in your age.
What high and mighty attitude? Point out the times where I had one.

That’s how I think of it.
But the Shotos are kinda the easy button. Sort of like the training wheels of the game. Not saying pros don’t use them, but if you’re loosing to scrubby tactics then its time to take a look at what you’re doing wrong and how to prevent these things from happening.
This
“They’re ridiculously easy to combo with, and the DP has insane priority”
Its because of the shoryuken. Let me tell you about its properties why it is linked to the scrub.
Doing a shoryuken is like taking out a loan from the bank or spending from a credit card. Its real easy to do it, in fact the banks and such want you to do it, but the scrub doesn’t think long term. He just wants to OMGWTFSHORYUKEN as fast as possible because he wants out of the current situation and doesn’t are what it costs him.
As so they “SHORYUKEN!” all day long, over and over not thinking about when the loan is to be paid back. Many good players actually don’t expect such reckless play and so it actually catches us… teaching them that the shoryu works and that they can continue to do it.
What we have to is act like the bank and wait patiently for the interest owed to us. And yes, they do owe us. Every time they take out a loan and do a shoryuken, we will let them spend the money on nothing and then collect our fees when the time comes.
I find that these players are very easily mind fuckable. Just sit back and let them collect debt. Soon they will go into a suicidal frenzy where they just borrow, borrow, borrow into financial collapse. At this point, they are so in over their head and will need serious economic reform (character change).
Wow! Nice analogy bro! I never thought of the Shoryuken like that. Its kinda intresting that I am a shoto user and I don’t do the Shoryuken that much…maybe cuz I’m not a scrub.
