I did say that I was done with this thread, but I just came in here to say that Meta Knight really was a problem. From what I’ve read of this thread, he’s definitely not comparable to the Giants in TvC. Also, unless you’re accustomed to the Brawl scene, I’d advise people to not comment on his ban (whether they are for or against it) because they are not familiar enough with the game to justify their opinions. That would save us a lot of needless quarreling.

Uh, the top Smash players are different for both games. I don’t remember Armada being into Brawl, or Ally into Melee.
Plus I’m sort of a top Brawl player, too… sort of.
do tell the reasons why this ban is different from Giants ban, just for curiosity, I don’t know much about Brawl’s advanced techniques and such

Besides, the title itself is misleading (and needs to be changed), ever since the first post, this thread has been about banning things for stupid reasons.
Metaknight’s ban is due to him being OP, though since my competitive Brawl knowledge is nil I’m not sure as to what extent. On the other hand, giants are banned simply because people don’t like them (which is stupid IMO).
If I ever decide to run Smash tournies, I’ll do it with items on and Final Destination banned, just to troll.

Zappa’s things depend on the timer if the last number of the timer is 0, 1 or 2 (I don’t remember which number gives which thing, but one for each). If it is any other number then it is random which summon you get.

I lot of players don’t like brawl for many reasons, tripping, slow gameplay, takes for ever to kill someone, anyone can be good at brawl even noobs, since the game has hardly any advanced tactics like melee

Also, stop assuming that “top players” only exist in Melee. They’re different games, they have different top players who obviously prefer the game they’re a top player in.
Didn’t I say top players don’t like brawl as much as melee. As for casual players I asked them also. Out of my 5 friends who play brawl they don’t like how it takes for ever to kill someone. Melee was a lot faster, had better gameplay, didn’t have you falling down for no reason, back dashing, wave dashing, ledge guarding, shield grabbing, and lot more tricks you had to learn. Brawl has hardly any cool tricks you can use. Any noob can learn brawl in about a couple of days. If you like brawl then good for you, I can’t stand the slow gameplay, or tripping for no reason.
I’ve won tournaments in 3rd strike using chun, but that doesn’t mean I like the game, and I don’t like chun also. Though I just wanted to win to get store credit. Even when I went to new Mexico and beat everyone at ssf4 using blanka. Someone asked me if I was going to play in the tournament. I said no because the game is boring.
People play the most boring fighters ever, ssf4ae, mvc3, brawl. When there are so many better fighters, like vf, vamp sav, world heroes, kof. I really don’t understand why people play such boring games. The only thing I can think of is people want to play top tier broken tactics cause people are lazy. People don’t want to play a game that is balanced, they want to take the easy way out

My thoughts exactly, though I aruge that VF is boring to me and KoF isn’t my speed, though I haven’t played 13… and 3S is one of the hottest games ever. I play games because they’re fun… I give a fuck about balance, so long as there are others that will play, I will play.
What kof slow? Watch the mexicans, and chinese play kof their fast as mvc2 hong kong has the best kof players
